Equipped with a 5-speed G50 manual transmission paired with its air-cooled flat-six engine, this 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Black with custom M491/930-style fender flares added under prior ownership. It also features Turbo-style spoilers, 16” Fuchs-style wheels, upgraded Turbo valve covers, Andial mufflers, and a Champagne leather interior. Showing approximately 40k miles on the odometer, this Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Tennessee.
This Carrera Cabriolet was fitted with widened steel M491/930-style fender flares, a front chin spoiler, and a Tea Tray rear spoiler under prior ownership. The exterior is finished in Black with a matching power-retractable convertible top and boot cover. Other equipment includes integrated front fog lights, dual power mirrors, black stone guard decals, a periscope-style brake light, and an aftermarket oval exhaust tip. The car rides on 16” Fuchs-style wheels with black painted centers, polished outer lips, and colored Porsche crest center caps. The front Continental ContiProContact tires are 205/55, and the rear Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires measure 245/45. The seller notes the convertible top has been repaired, the boot cover button caps are missing, the passenger-side headlamp is foggy, and over-polishing caused an area of thin paint on the driver’s door. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Champagne leather upholstery with a deviated black dashboard, leather steering wheel, and Porsche-branded floor mats. Other accessories include air conditioning, power windows, a central locking system, analog VDO gauges, a quartz clock, a locking glovebox, and an aftermarket Pioneer CD stereo. The seller indicates the driver’s seat has been reupholstered.
Up to 217 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. The engine has been fitted with upgraded Turbo valve covers and Andial mufflers, and was serviced with new spark plugs and an oil change in 2024.
This sale will include a clean title.

@Autotrend AC was working when I got the car but with the heat we have had, it has trailed off. So short answer is no, the AC will need some servicing. The top is electric and operates properly. Thanks! Miles
does the A/C work and blow cold? is the convertible top electric or manual?
Bid in the amount of $24,000
@agerberoff The last passed inspection was in 2015 when it was in California. Not sure if it will pass now. California has gotten pretty tricky. The only modification is the muffler. The emissions equipment is still in tact.
Thanks! Miles
Will this vehicle pass California Emissions test?

@Miles.S Aprox how much will be the shipping to San Diego, CA?
Bid in the amount of $20,911
@Miles.S I know we don't talk reserves here. Was recent interest on the car in the same game (maybe the same field but few yards away???), Or were the completely different sports all together (like ping pong and MMA?)
Hi All!
Want to introduce myself as the seller here. Thanks for stopping in to check out this beautiful wide body Carrera. Very lovely car that is a joy to cruise around in.
The front fenders are full steel 930 fenders rear flares are steel as well. Very high quality job. The paint is deep and the car has very smooth body lines.
Everything works on the car. The AC was working but in the heavy heat we are having in the south, it does struggle to keep up. So that will need a service. The top works fine as well. The rear window has had some stitching repair shown in the photos.
It drives very nicely. Engine is strong and smooth. The G50 is one of the greatest things about the car. Shifts easily and precise as G50s are known for. Have a driving video that I will upload.
Overall a very gorgeous car that is ready for some top down cruising.
Please let me know of any questions or requests. Happy to assist with shipping. I can provide a quote, just shoot me a message. Thanks again! Miles
Fun car.
I’m not sure that adding “M491 Style” to the description is accurate or appropriate, but everyone gives a wide body.
