Originally delivered to Pepe Imports Inc. of Atlantic City, New Jersey, this 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is said to have remained with its first owner up until 2019. The car was ordered in Guards Red over a Linen leather interior along with optional electric Sport Seats, front and rear spoilers, 16” forged alloy wheels, and a limited-slip differential paired with its 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. Well maintained since the current owner’s purchase about three years ago, this Carrera shows approximately 95k miles on the odometer and is being offered for auction out of Pennsylvania accompanied by the original books and window sticker.

This Carrera is finished in traditional Guards Red including factory optional front and rear spoilers, a rear window wiper, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The front lip spoiler was replaced under current ownership and the passenger-side fender, door, and quarter panel are said to have been refinished under the original owner’s care after sustaining cosmetic damage at a Porsche dealership. One small chip is also noted on the driver’s side rocker panel, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with premium Linen leather upholstery contrasted by a black leatherette dashboard, beltline, and headliner. Optional electrically adjustable Sport Seats came equipped from the factory along with an elevated steering wheel hub, automatic heater control, automatic speed control, an electric sunroof, and an alarm system.  An aftermarket Alpine stereo has been equipped and the footwells are lined with custom red and black Coco floor mats.  All accessories and instrumentation are said to be fully functional apart from the clock.

Up to 217 HP is sent to the rear wheels from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox and an optional limited-slip differential. The car is said to have been maintained regularly under the original ownership and has undergone additional service since the current owner’s purchase in 2019 including new brake rotors, rebuilt calipers, new brake lines, a rear axle, and an ignition switch replacement.

This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, toolkit, spare tire, air pump, and a clean title.

I bought the car in 2019 from the first owner the first owner said that 1990 the car was at the Porsche dealership in for service. Someone backed into the car and damaged the front Right side fender and front passenger side door. The Porsche dealership repaired the car supposedly replaced the front fender and the skin of the door. The front fender passenger side passenger door and rear corp panel was painted.
I did supply the paint meter readings.
By looking at the car you would never think this car has been painted.
The Porsche dealership that repaired the car was called Pepe imports porsche they do no longer exist.
I hope this answers your question if you have any more questions please reach out.
    Thank you

Can you describe the right side damage done by the dealership, and what process was used in the repair, as well as which areas were painted?

    Hello butchlobo,
I made the adjustment on the rubber hose connector on the changer, as best as I could. And I added the three photos.

Corrections on the previous statement I will have the rear hose aligned properly on Monday with the mechanic. And I have Lifts in my garage for storage. Next time I’ll proofread my comments before sending.
    Thank you

    Hello butchlobo,
I woke up this morning thinking about the hose not being aligned correctly. And I realized that the mechanic didn’t line it up correctly because when they did the rear axle rotors and calipers on the rear. When he put the exchangers back on and the hose was in a line properly. I’m not a mechanic but I do have Lifts in my car for storage. I will definitely have that taken care of.

    Hello butchlobo,
I just put the car up on lift to check on the hose for the heat exchanger it does look loose but it is not loose. but it does not line up as the other one is. I see there wasn’t any contact with anything else to push it back that way and it’s very tight on to the exchanger. I never noticed it but I will bring it to my mechanic on Monday morning and have them look at it and make the adjustment if it does need adjustment .
Thank you for pointing that out.

Very nice Carrera. Can you comment on the driver's side loose exhaust to heat exchanger connection hose seen on photos 92 and 93?

This is a grade A driver. Someone will be very happy picking this one up! The cooler linen seats will be greatly appreciated by the owner for the rest of the summer months.

The car was looked over by a local experience mechanic. Engine and transmission in excellent condition. No oil leaks. Any issues that needed to be taken care we’re done. AC it was not converted doesn’t work well but it does work. If you know these air cooled cars air condition have never really worked well.
I hope I’ve answered your question and any other questions please feel free to contact me and I’ll do my best to answer them as prompt as possible.
    Thank you
