Up for auction at no reserve is this 1988 Porsche 924S finished in Guards Red over black interior with Porsche script upholstery. Boasting an increased power output equivalent to the 944 for its final year of production, this 1988 924S was purchased by its seller approximately 2 years ago before undergoing some significant refurbishment. Now showing approximately 57k miles on the odometer, this 924S is being offered by its seller in New York, accompanied by original books, tools, service records, and a clean title.
The Guards Red finish is said to be in excellent condition with only a few minor door dings. The entire front end of the vehicle was also professionally refinished for cosmetic purposes under the current ownership (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). This example rides on factory Phone Dial wheels with brand new tires.
Inside, you will find a black interior with desirable Porsche script upholstery throughout. The cabin is said to be in very nice original condition with some cracks in the dashboard that are currently hidden by a custom-fit cover. The original radio remains in place and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
For its final year of production, the 924S received a power increase for an output of 160 HP, equal to that of the 944 model. The 2.5 L naturally aspirated inline 4-cylinder engine in this example is paired with a refined 3-speed automatic transaxle. Under the seller’s ownership within the last 2 years, the flex plate was replaced along with the fluids, filters, brake pads, and brake rotors. The timing belt is also said to have been addressed in the past by a previous owner. Service records are included and this 924S is said to be in strong running order.

@Lundclan as far as I know everything is in working order, mileage is working and correct. Suspension is tight car feels solid while driving. It really is a great example

@maybeillbuyit the radiator and reservoir were also replaced by previous owner. The undercarriage is absolutely perfect no rust at all. I will send pics as soon as I can.

Thanks for looking. I don’t have a date for the timing belt only what the previous owner told me. Yes all sensors and flex plate done along with all new brakes, rotors and pads. Tires with less than 10 miles.
Nice looking car. So its had the flex plate and speed and ref sensors replaced. What was the date of the timing belt service? The brake fluid looks very dark and old. So the rotors and pads have just been replaced? Under carriage pics would help a lot. Also pics of the dash with no cover. Thx.
