This 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo was originally designated for the German home market and was imported back to Europe from Japan by the current owner in 2016. Between 2019 and 2023, this 930 underwent a custom Carrera RSR-style restoration including backdated steel bodywork, a new Alcantara interior, KW coilovers, a short-ratio G50 5-speed manual transmission, and a custom Richard Chamberlain-built 3.25-liter flat-six engine featuring JE pistons, a GT3 crankshaft, Schrick camshafts, individual throttle bodies, and MoTeC electronic fuel injection. This no-expense-spared Carrera RSR tribute is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Holland with approximately 1k kilometers driven since the restoration.
This 930 was completely stripped and customized with backdated bodywork including a classic long-hood nose section, wide steel fenders, RSR-style bumpers, and a ducktail rear spoiler. It has been refinished in its original Black color and decorated with green PORSCHE script decals on the rockers and rear decklid. Other features include chrome door handles and headlight rings, anodized silver window moldings, a polished driver’s side mirror, dual exhaust tailpipes, and 15” Braid Fuchs wheels measuring 9” wide in front and 11” wide in the rear. The wheels are finished in a satin gunmetal grey color and come dressed in a set of Michelin TB-15 tires. The seller adds that the paintwork was professionally carried out at a concours-level and a few small stone chips occurred during the vehicle’s initial shakedown driving.
The cabin is lined with classic grey square weave carpeting and features black Alcantara upholstery with green stitching covering the dashboard, door panels, and roll bar. The driver and passenger are situated in black leather sport bucket seats with pepita houndstooth centers. Accessories include a wooden 917-style shift knob, an Alcantara-wrapped MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, lightweight door panels, power windows, an electric sunroof, and a quartz clock. The air conditioning, heater, rear seats, and sound system have been removed. All other accessories and instrumentation are aid to remain fully functional.
This 930 is equipped with a custom Richard Chamberlain-built 3.25-liter flat-six engine featuring JE pistons, Mahle cylinders, Carrillo rods, RSR rocker arms, a 996 GT3 crankshaft, Schrick Central Lubrication 320-degree camshafts, MoTeC electronic fuel injection, stainless-steel headers, and AT Power shaftless individual throttle bodies. A dyno-verified output of 316 BHP is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt close-ratio G50 5-speed manual gearbox which was sourced from a 964. The chassis retains 930 Turbo brakes and includes an upgraded KW Competition coilover suspension. The seller notes that approximately 1k kilometers were driven during a shakedown following the completion of the build.
This sale will include build records and a clean title.

Hello, what is the name of the shop where the car was built? Thanks
I have asked PCARMARKET to update engine info to include that the engine also has Carillo Rods and RSR rocker arms as stated in the engine invoice - that invoice is not complete as it does not include Mahle Cylinders , ITBs, Motec and various other stuff.
An Engine such as this would be 50-60.000 Euros alone today. Exhaust and headers are made by a company called Friedrich motorsport in germany , great power - sound - looks and quality.
Any other questions feel free to ask, thanks!
@Spiker_911 thank you for the bid!

Bid in the amount of $40,000
@Spiker_911 - video added with some engine noise, and take off and various idling. I have no live driving videos at the moment,
the car was recently on a track as part of a photo shoot and the Porsche Experience Instructor who tried it loved how it behaved on track - alot of fun and the short-ratio G50 box is a weapon!
@delanodp Correct. Usually people go the other way, but the 930 turbo is a great point of departure for an RSR build due to its already widebody and stiffer shell, suspension/control arms, brakes etc. the rear arches were reshaped to RSR appearance, the turbo arches are more squared off
So its converted from a 930 to a normal aspiration RSR? Interesting... usually people go the other way.
@Spiker_911 Will upload a couple of videos of the engine running and drive byes!
Nice looking build. Do you have any cold start or driving videos?
Hi everyone. Feel free to ask me any question about the car and the build process and I will reply to the best of my ability and as swiftly as possible!
