We are pleased to offer this 1989 Ferrari Testarossa finished in Rosso Corsa over a tan leather interior. Ferrari’s flagship 12-cylinder sports car of the era, the Testarossa was premiered at the 1984 Paris Auto Show and produced from 1984-1996 with several major revisions throughout its evolution. One of only 261 U.S. versions produced for the model year, this 1989 example was sold new through Steven Kessler Motorcars of New York at an original sticker price of over $141k, and has been recently acquired by the seller from a private collection in Florida. The car is accompanied by an extensively documented history including a major engine-out service in 2019 as well as a recent full service completed by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in June of 2021. A fine example of one of the most iconic sports cars of the 1980s, this Testarossa is now being offered for auction by its seller out Florida while showing under 10k miles on the odometer.
This Testarossa comes finished in traditional Rosso Corsa paint and features factory 16” light alloy wheels. The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is most recognizable for its striking angles and distinctive side strakes that cover large radiator cooling ducts. This U.S market example can be identified by its rectangular side marker lights, front indicator lenses, black rear bumperettes, and third brake light mounted above the engine cover. An invoice from Foreign Affairs Motorsport shows the side rocker bottoms and front lip spoiler to have been refinished in black in 2019 along with a full paint correction of the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory 5-lug wheels measure 8” wide in front, 10” wide in the rear, and come dressed in a set of BF Goodrich g-Force Sport tires.
Inside, you will find a well-kept tan Connolly leather interior with a brown leather dashboard and center console. Factory features include electric door locks, electric windows, air conditioning, and a stereo system. For the 1989 model year, the cabin of the Testarossa received an updated steering column and lower knee protection area below the dashboard. Service records show a new driver-side door seal to have been installed in 2019 as well as all-new instrument cluster bulbs, a driver-side window switch, and a front trunk light assembly among other minor refurbishments at a cost of over $3k. The A/C was also recharged by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in May of 2021. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This Testarossa carries a mid-mounted Tipo F113 flat 12-cylinder engine with 4-valves-per cylinder, dry-sump lubrication, Marelli Microplex ignition, and Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection. As much as 380 HP is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission with a gated shifter and limited-slip differential. In a test carried out by Car & Driver, the Testarossa was capable of accelerating from 0-60 MPH in 5 seconds with a top speed over 175 MPH. An invoice from Foreign Affairs Motorsport shows a major engine-out service to have been completed in January of 2019 at 9,487 miles including all new belts, gaskets, seals, fluids, spark plugs, fuel lines, and a clutch kit as well as detailing of the engine bay. More recent service includes cleaning of the throttle bodies in 2020 and a standard full service by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in 2021. This sale will include the original owner’s manuals and window sticker, an extensive collection of records, a toolkit, and a clean title. An excellent addition to any collection, this thoroughly documented and beautifully preserved Testarossa awaits its next caretaker.

@Sy1616 Iam honostly not sure how soon next service is due , as for right now the car is up to date , but if you drive 1/2k miles , Iam sure you have another 10 years or so or more for a major
Can you comment on when the next major service is due with it driven 1-2k/yr? Similar to Porsche whereby service is done by the calendar opposed to mileage? Thank you!

@crownpoint62 the paint is amazing condition and is all original , the car is a 4 owner car , and was completely serviced over the course of the last year , full engine out service performed , belts changed , about 35k in service over the last 18 months with not much driving in that period , this is a great example all around
