Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and released in 1979, Lancia’s Delta is one of the most successful rally cars ever, having won the World Rally Championship for manufacturers six times between 1987 and 1992. This 1990 example comes finished in white with custom Martini Racing vinyl graphics over a grey and patterned cloth interior. Originally produced for the Italian market and acquired by the seller in 2019, it is said to have been previously owned and modified by Miki Biasion, winner of the 1989 Rallye of Monte-Carlo. It features upgrades to the turbocharger, cooling system, intercooler, adjustable dampers, and much more. This rally car tribute is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Italy while showing just under 66k kilometers (41k miles) on the odometer.

The Delta features iconic box-flared fenders and a vented hood. This example was refinished in white while under previous ownership and wears a custom Martini Racing livery. The seller notes that the finish remains in very good overall condition aside from a few minor imperfections. Additional images can be found in the gallery. It rides on a set of white-finished 15” rally-style wheels dressed in a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires bearing date codes from 2018.

The cabin features deeply bolstered Recaro front bucket seats upholstered in grey cloth with multi-color patterned inserts along with a matching rear seat and door panels. The cabin is said to have been reupholstered under previous ownership with original materials. Details include a two-spoke Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel signed by Miki Biasion, a digital clock, power front windows, roll-up rear windows, a sunroof, a heater and defroster, racing pedals, and Veglia Borletti instrumentation. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional with the exception of the driver’s side power window.

Power comes from a turbocharged and intercooled 2.0L 16-valve inline 4-cylinder engine which is said to have been totally overhauled under previous ownership. Its control unit and turbocharger have been upgraded along with the radiator, coolant hoses, intercooler, and exhaust system. All four wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle along with a full-time AWD system that includes a Ferguson viscous center coupler and a rear Torsen limited-slip differential. Other performance upgrades include adjustable shock absorbers and performance brake pads.

This sale will include a clean title.

Hello, I think fixing the window is a very simple thing (we didn't have time to have it checked by the mechanic). As for the air conditioning, I think that in the 80s it was only available as an after market kit. To install it now it will cost about $ 5,000 but you need to check the availability of spare parts

  • kearnsics (registered bidder) 11 monthsago
