Up for auction is this 1989 911 Speedster finished in Guards Red. Characterized by a low-swept windshield and distinctive double-bubble rear cover, the 911 Speedster offers streamlined looks reminiscent of the original 356 Speedster. One of only 823 examples built for the U.S. market, this two-owner Speedster shows 41k completely-documented miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction in excellent overall condition by it's seller out of Kentucky.
The classic Guards Red finish on this Speedster is said to be in excellent condition and remain original with the exception of a professional refinish of the right front fender. The only flaws noted by the seller are a couple of small rock chips on the front end as well as some chips on the leading edges of the soft top cover as noted in the photo gallery. This Speedster rides on its factory equipped 16″ Fuchs wheels which come wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1-S tires dated 2011 with a great amount of tread life remaining. A beautifully presented car finished in a timeless specification, this Speedster is an absolute showstopper.
This Speedster is appointed in a Cashmere and Black partial leather interior that highlights desirable factory sport seats, cruise control and air conditioning. This interior remains in excellent condition as indicated by the seller. A new air conditioning evaporator and blower motor were installed this January and the plastic rear window was replaced in 1998. The original factory-installed Porsche radio remains in the car, however, it is reported to only work intermittently. All other gauges, electronics and accessories are said to be fully functional.
Fitted with a naturally aspirated 3.2 L flat-six engine, this Speedster puts out 215 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual G50 transmission with an optional limited slip differential. A new battery and oil-level sensor were installed in 2014 and an oil change was performed earlier this year. This vehicle comes with a complete service history and is stated to run strong with no issues.

wonderful presented car and honest, this will always be Classic in the color scheme just so nice, some small touch up and nice clear coat brake calipers cleaning, the car, nice winter project and you have a garage queen, dry ice cleaning under and it will as it left the factory.
