We are pleased to present this iconic 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster. Featuring low-mileage, all-original paint, and a clean bill of health, this example is sure to grab the attention of even the most discerning collector. Being one of only 823 Speedsters built for the U.S market in 1989, this specific car was delivered new to Los Altos, CA where it was enjoyed for nine years before being sold locally to its second owner. It is now being offered out of Fallbrook, CA with only 24k well-cared for miles showing on the odometer.
The Grand Prix White finish on this Speedster is said to be in excellent condition as would be expected with a vehicle of this mileage and life-long care. Taking things even further, the seller states that all paint is original and the car remains completely stock. Detailed images of the exterior are available in the photo gallery. The original canvas top is in good condition with one flaw noted by the seller (photo in gallery). The original Fuchs wheels come wrapped in brand new Dunlop tires.
The collector-grade status of this Speedster is carried out through the inside as the Black and Beige partial leather interior shows to be in like-new condition, including new door cards. A few noteworthy factory options include an upgraded Blaupunkt Reno radio, short gear shift lever, limited slip differential, automatic speed control and air conditioning. This 911 retains its numbers-matching 3.2L flat-six that sends 215HP to the rear wheels via a smooth shifting 5-speed manual G-50 transmission. The seller notes that a major service was carried out at Redline Service in 2009 that included the following items:
