This 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo is one of only 639 Coupes produced for the U.S. market during the 930’s final model year and represents the only year in which the car was equipped with the improved 5-speed G50 manual transmission. It comes finished in Grand Prix White over a Marine Blue leather interior and is equipped with a limited-slip differential, a GReddy adjustable boost controller, and an upgraded Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) stereo. Showing approximately 60k miles on the odometer, this highly collectible G50-equipped Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This 930 is finished in Grand Prix White and features Turbo-specific bodywork including wide fenders, a front chin spoiler, and a tea tray rear spoiler. Other equipment includes a front valence with integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, black stone guards on the rear fenders, a dual-tipped exhaust outlet, and 16” Fuchs alloy wheels with body-colored centers. The car rides on Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires measuring 205/55 in front and 245/45 in the rear. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats in Marine Blue leather along with a matching dashboard, door panels, center console, carpeting, and four-spoke steering wheel. Factory equipment includes a raised steering wheel hub, an electric sunroof, an optional shortened gearshift lever, an amplifier, power windows, and air conditioning. The sound system has been upgraded with a modern Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) stereo and a GReddy electronic boost controller is mounted below the dashboard.
A turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine provides up to 282 HP and 278 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston aluminum brake calipers paired with ventilated and cross-drilled discs at each corner. The CARFAX report shows 11 service history records including a maintenance inspection and fuel pressure regulator replacement at Beverly Hills Porsche in December 2020. The seller adds that the car passed a California smog emissions test while in dealer inventory in March 2023.

The radio has been updated, an Alpine amp in the trunk, and aftermarket speakers in the doors.
There's a Greddy boost controller (below knee bar in front of shifter.) This means the engine is not stock and there's been some attempt to extract more power, better throttle response, less lag, maybe a different turbo. It would be important to see the documentation of those mods and preferably pics and maybe even a dyno session when it was tuned.
There's a "Solar" battery tender in the trunk.
r.e. photo 159, the other gizmo bolted in the frunk is a bit of a mystery. Maybe aftermarket anti-theft device?
This fantastic Turbo was on BaT and ended on the main day of the Rennsport Reunion….. unsold. The bid was 30% below market…. Hope it does well this go round!
