Maranello’s flagship model for over a decade and one of the most iconic supercars of its time, the Testarossa was the last Ferrari to feature a flat 12-cylinder engine. This 1990 example is one of 452 U.S. specification Testarossas produced for the model year and was first registered in California prior to spending time in Virginia, Michigan, and Ohio before being acquired by the current owner and imported to Canada in 2021. Sporting a traditional Rosso Corsa finish and benefitting from a timing belt service which was completed in 2018, this Ferrari Testarossa is now being offered for auction out of Quebec while showing under 16k miles on the odometer.
This Testarossa features Pininfarina-designed bodywork finished in Rosso Corsa. Equipment includes straked side air intakes, pop-up headlamps, a black front spoiler with a driver’s side cooling duct, front fog lights, dual mirrors, quad exhaust outlets, a U.S. regulation rear safety bumper, and a third brake light integrated into the engine cover. It rides on factory 16” five-bolt alloy wheels with Cavallino-crested center caps and Goodyear Eagle ZR50 tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black Connolly leather including matching carpets and adjustable sports seats with crested headrests. The driver is situated ahead of a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and a suite of analog Veglia Borletti instrument dials with orange markings. Other equipment includes a gated dogleg-pattern shifter, power windows, air conditioning, a sound system, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and automatic seatbelts. The air conditioning system is said to have been recharged during a service in 2018.
The Testarossa features a mid-mounted Tipo F113 4.9-liter flat-12 engine with 4-valves-per-cylinder, dry-sump lubrication, Marelli Microplex ignition, and Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection. Up to 385 HP is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The chassis includes front and rear double wishbone suspension as well as four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. Service completed by North Coast Exotics of Cleveland, Ohio in 2018 is said to have included a new timing belt, pulleys, spark plugs, gaskets, fluids, and hood struts as well as rebuilding the front brake calipers.
