A 1990s sports car icon, the Honda NSX was assembled at the Takanezawa R&D Plant in Tochigi, Japan, and developed in collaboration with Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna. This first-year example is a righthand-drive Japanese-market example finished in Indy Yellow Pearl over a black leather interior. It features a 4-speed automatic transmission paired with its transverse-mounted 3.0-liter V6. Imported from Japan to the U.S. in June 2024, this JDM Honda NSX is now being offered for auction out of Virginia with approximately 44k kilometers (27k miles) showing on the odometer.

This NSX wears lightweight aluminum bodywork finished in Indy Yellow Pearl, a color known as Spa Yellow for the U.S. Acura version. Equipment includes pop-up headlamps, fog lights, side air intakes, dual exhaust outlets, a power antenna, an integrated rear wing, and aftermarket 17”/18” Enkei 5-spoke wheels. The car rides on Yokohama tires in front and Lexani tires in the rear, showing 2022 and 2024 production date codes respectively. The seller notes that paint meter readings show higher measurements on the hood and a pre-purchase inspection indicates a small crack on the driver’s side window. Additional images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features black leather upholstery with light beige carpeting and headliner. Accessories include power-adjustable bucket seats, power windows and mirrors, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, an inoperable Honda Bose AM/FM cassette stereo, and a trunk-mounted Alpine CD changer. An inoperable aftermarket DVD navigation system is mounted to the center dashboard. The seller notes some signs of wear on the seats and gear selector.

Rated at 252 HP and 210 lb.-ft of torque the transverse-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and titanium connecting rods. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. The aluminum semi-monocoque chassis includes an extruded aluminum alloy frame and forged aluminum double wishbone suspension. Other features include front and rear stabilizer bars, a 4-channel anti-lock brake system, a traction control system, and variable-ratio electric power steering. The seller notes an oil change has been completed in preparation for the sale and a pre-purchase inspection report is provided in the gallery.

This sale will include a spare tire, owner’s books, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This car is more beautiful in person and so fun to drive. The yellow color will definitely turn heads!”

Wow! 6 days and only 3 bidder comments from only two potential bidders, and not one bid. I have to believe the right hand drive and lack of a third pedal (No paddle shifters either) are the cause. I actually think that had this been listed at no reserve it would have generated interest and bids, and might have gone quite high once bidding wars broke out. 3 hours left....Glwta

@XHILLR8 The only paint work we did on it was on the fender and the top of the fender. It has some faded spots that we corrected. We do not have any service history on the car from when it was in Japan but we did replace the steering rack in it since that was a common issues with the NSX from that year. Unfortunately under the GPS is a hole in the dash which is why we did not remove it.

Nice looking NSX. A couple questions...
    1) Any evidence of paintwork? The front bumper cover appears a bit darker than the rest of the paint. That could be lighting, but it does look off in pics.
    2) Does any service history come with the car? I see no mention of timing belt change (due to age, not miles), other maintenance, etc.
    3) What lies under the GPS wart on the dash? I.e. if removed, is there a big hole in dash?
    Thanks for the feedback!

252 HP is always the number I have seen associated with spec on the automatic version. A quick google search verifies the number. I hope that PCM will correct the error for you. Here is a link on it: https://www.automobile-catalog.com/performance/1990/1106300/honda_nsx_automatic.html#gsc.tab=0

  • Wolf13_1977 (seller) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@jazzyg72 I believe you are correct. Not sure why it was posted as 270 HP but maybe someone at PCM may have found something different.

  • jazzyg72 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

I believe the correct HP on the NA1 with Automatic is specified at 252HP not 270HP.

Good morning all and thank you for checking out the bright NSX we have up for sale! I will answer any questions to the best of my ability and look forward to finding this car a new home!
