The second generation of Jaguar’s XJ-S luxury grand tourer was produced from 1981 to 1991 as the “HE” series, equipped with a new high-efficiency “Fire Ball” V12 engine. This Racing Green Metallic 1990 XJ-S Convertible is a Classic Collection model which was marketed exclusively in the United States and appointed with a four-headlight arrangement, Lattice alloy wheels, and gold-colored badging. It is said to have been purchased new by an attorney in Washington as a gift for his wife who drove the car sparingly until the original owner’s passing. It was sold to a small dealership in Monterey California from which it was acquired by the current owner in November 2021. Having since undergone refurbishments including rebuilt front brake calipers, this Jaguar is now being offered for auction out of Georgia showing just over 18k miles on the odometer.

The exterior is finished in Racing Green Metallic with a chrome-trimmed windscreen, bumpers, headlight surrounds, and mirrors. The Classic Collection XJ-S receives four individual headlights as well as a special rear badge and gold-colored growler emblem on the hood. This example is equipped with Hella front fog lights and factory 15” Lattice alloy wheels dressed in BF Goodrich tires from 1999. The exterior is described to be in very good condition with only minor surface scratches. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is trimmed in tan Doeskin leather with dark grey carpets and burl wood veneers. Amenities include heated front seats, automatic climate control, a rear window defroster, cruise control, and a Jaguar security system. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

Up to 263 HP and 290 lb.-ft of torque come from a 5.3-liter HE V12 engine including “Fire Ball” combustion chambers and a digital fuel injection system. The rear wheels are driven via a 3-speed automatic transmission. A recent tune-up is said to have been performed under current ownership as well as a rebuild of the front brake calipers.

This sale will include the original owner’s books, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

@dunnojak inside the wheel wells have been relined with raptor liner . The inner plastic covers were removed, cleaned and reinstalled. They were not lined . The headlight bezels were removed and polished . The upper shock mount bushings have been replaced on the front. It also has a brand new set of chrome lattice wheels .

Up for auction is my very nicely preserved 1990 XJS convertible , a true gentleman’s car with such elegance. The car is truly immaculate in its HFB paint code Brooklands Green also known as British Racing Green . The car runs perfect without any flaws or hiccups. There are no leaks or mechanical issues whatsoever with this beautiful Jaguar . There will be a cold start video added when PCM uploads it and exits the listing.
