Now available is this 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera Cabriolet presented in black over a black and tan leather interior. Representing one of the most significant evolutions in the Porsche 911 lineage, the 964 series is quickly becoming one of the more collectible air-cooled Porsche generations on the market. This beautiful 1990 example is said to remain in outstanding condition while retaining its factory specifications. Showing only 25,845 miles on the odometer, this exceptional Porsche 964 is now being offered by its seller out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
The timeless black finish is noted to be in very good condition with some minor pitting on the front hood and a small crack in the rear decklid grille (detailed images are provided the photo gallery). A rear-end incident was reported on Carfax in 1993, however, any damage sustained has since been repaired to a very high standard. Factory C2 wheels are retained which come dressed in healthy Firehawk Indy 500 tires date-coded from 2018 in the front and 2019 in the rear.
The black and tan leather upholstered cabin is reported to be in excellent condition with a Blaupunkt Reno 2 radio installed. Other noteworthy features include factory power operated seats and aftermarket Coco floormats. All gauges, electrical components and accessories are stated to be fully functional.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six engine which is mated to a G50 5-speed manual transmission. 247 HP is sent to the rear wheels making for a 0-60 time of approximately 5.5 seconds. This Carrera 2 is said to be in excellent running order and up to date on basic service.
The sale of this 964 will include a set of 2 keys, the original owner’s manual and some loose tools. Offering up a sensory top-down driving experience coupled with visceral air-cooled performance, this low-mileage 964 Cabriolet is not to be overlooked.
