We are pleased to offer this 1991 Ferrari 348 TS 5-speed.  Representing the last V8 Ferrari model to have been developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari, this 348 Trasversale Spider (TS) is finished in the classic combination of Rosso Corsa over tan leather.  It features a coveted 5-speed gated manual transmission and has undergone a very recent major engine-out service including timing belts and engine seals in preparation for sale.  Reported to have been kept in the same family throughout its entire life, this 348 TS is now being offered for auction by its seller in New York with approximately 14k miles showing on the odometer.

The Rosso Corsa paint is described by the seller to be all original and in pristine overall condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  Ferrari’s heritage can be seen in the Pininfarina styling including the side air intake strakes and louvered rectangular taillights inspired by the Testarossa model.  This Spider features a removable black roof panel, black lower body cladding, and factory 17” 5-spoke alloy wheels that have been recently dressed in a set of brand-new tires.

Inside, the cabin is appointed with tan leather seats, matching carpets, and a black upper dashboard and door panels.  The upholstery is said to be in excellent condition and the interior is said to remain original except for an aftermarket Alpine radio.  Other features include air conditioning, power accessories, a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, and a gated 5-speed shifter.  All gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.

This Ferrari is equipped with a 3.4 L quad-cam V8 engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.  This naturally aspirated motor features a flat-plane crankshaft, dry-sump lubrication, and an output of up to 300 HP and 239 lb.-ft of torque at the rear wheels.  A major engine-out service was recently carried out within the last few miles by Universal Auto Sports in New York at a cost of over $7,500 which included a timing belt service, transmission service, new valve cover gaskets, cam seals, fluids, filters, and more.  A corresponding invoice is provided in the photo gallery and the seller describes this Ferrari to be in excellent running order.

This sale will include a recent service invoice and a clean title. Do not miss out on your chance to own a beautiful vintage Ferrari with a proper gated manual transmission.

Those bumpers are made of Epoxy-glass. That crack is probably only in the Gel-coat. Piece of cake to fix it.

@uas No matter which picture I blow up, it's gloss. Should be satin Wrinkle. Look closely at another car.

  • uas (registered bidder) 3 years, 2 monthsago

@jbauto we painted the valve covers in original wrinkle finish paint.

  • NeedA348 (registered bidder) 3 years, 2 monthsago

Is the there a prancing horse behind the front license plate mount? I have seen 91's with and without them, obviously with would be preferred. How is the license plate mount attached, is it drilled or grille mounted and will there be any damaged when it is removed? Are there any historical service records? In photo 25 there is a line on the black part of the bumper, its that some sort of crack or a scratch?

This really is a clean one owner. Hard to find those. I think I'm pretty familiar with these and this one looks good to me. I can see it needs a new hood insulator. Barely, in one pic. Looks like Joe Latino painted the valve covers shiny instead of Krinkle. That's OK in my book cuz Krinkle is hard to clean. These cars are fun and cheap to keep, relatively speaking. Terrific entry into the Ferrari clan.

Please confirm the original black roof panel is included - it is not shown in any photo. Thank you.

  • Dozer (registered bidder) 3 years, 2 monthsago

  • rhmoritz (registered bidder) 3 years, 2 monthsago

Does the car retain it’s original tool roll and owners manual? Recent valve adjustment?
