We are pleased to present this 1991 Porsche 911 Backdate Touring Edition by Abreu Motors.  Beginning with a numbers-matching European-market 964 Carrera 4, this 1991 example has undergone a custom nut-and-bolt restoration totaling over 3,500 hours by Abreu Motors including a full-metal wide-body conversion, backdated bumpers, and new suspension with Bilstein PSS10 coilovers as well as a completely rebuilt and upgraded 3.6L flat-six engine. The exterior was finished in Azure Blue and the interior was custom-tailored with Cherry Chocolate Italian basketweave leather upholstery and German square weave wool carpeting.  Despite its drastically altered appearance, this 911 remains a 964 at its heart and can be easily serviced by any qualified Porsche technician.  Accompanied by a 100-page color photo album detailing every stage of the restoration, this beautifully executed 911 Backdate has been driven approximately 200 miles since the completion of the build in 2020 and is now being offered for auction by Abreu Motors out of Florida.

The original 964 chassis has been completely disassembled and fitted with a custom-fabricated full-metal body conversion including fender flares, a new front hood, and retro backdate bumpers as well as custom stainless-steel polished rocker panels, bumperettes, and trim.  The front windshield and rear window were also replaced along with the mirrors, light housings, and all rubber seals and moldings. The bodywork is finished in Azure Blue, a rare and historic Porsche color originally offered on the 356 models of the early 1950s. Other details include a custom carbon fiber rear spoiler, custom Design911 headlights, and custom 17” Braid Fuchs-style wheels with Porsche center caps and new Michelin Pilot Sport tires sized 255-40 rear and 225-45 front.

Inside, the cabin has been completely redone with new Cherry Chocolate Italian basketweave leather upholstery, leather-trimmed German square weave wool carpeting, and custom leather LeMans R sports seats with basketweave inserts and silver grommets.  The front trunk has also been reupholstered in matching leather and carpeting. Other details include custom door handles, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, a custom short-throw shifter in polished aluminum with an engraved mahogany knob, a leather-wrapped dashboard with contrast stitching, a new German perforated leather headliner, and a leather-wrapped center console with a gloss black insert.  The electronics have been upgraded including new instrument dials with LED lighting, new speakers, a new classic-style Bluetooth radio, and an electronic key with remote fob.  The original sunroof has been retained and all new hardware has been installed along with new seatbelts and door strikers.  Under the front hood, a custom Abreu Motors specifications sticker has been placed alongside the original factory production label.

The original European-spec 3.6L flat-six engine has been completely disassembled, steam cleaned, and rebuilt using all new seals, hardware, hoses, and injectors, as well as a new crankshaft.  Offering an estimated output of 300 HP, this engine was also upgraded with a lightweight flywheel, performance chip, carbon fiber heater duct, Wevo mounts, a K&N air intake, a Racing Dynamics catalytic converter bypass pipe, and a custom ceramic-coated stainless-steel dual-exit exhaust. After assembly, this flat-six was fitted within a leather-lined engine compartment and paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox which was vapor blasted and fitted with new drain and fill plugs as well as a new front output shaft.  Other items installed during the restoration include a new rack and pinion, new wheel bearings, new Tarett 935-style rear spring plates, Ground Control 964 camber-caster plates, new Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, all new brake lines, cross-drilled rotors, and rebuilt Brembo brake calipers.  Images provided in the photo gallery detail the incredible amount of work carried out during the build process.

This sale will include a clean title and a color photo album detailing the restoration. The only completed backdate currently available from Abreu Motors, this beautifully executed 911 offers a very special opportunity for any discerning air-cooled Porsche enthusiast.

I first had the pleasure of doing business with Fabie almost 15 years ago. His class and passion for the brand are unmatched. Each of these are artisan hand built pieces that have every inch addressed to end in their current form. Truly one of a kind that will result in you staring at it as much as driving it. The wait list will be long after this one sells today. Bid with confidence, as this example will have even the most discerning enthusiast in awe of its presence. A phenomenal example of art in the form of an automobile.

@toddjude Correct. It also has a new compressor clutch, refrigerant lines, condenser, resistor, temp sensor, new cabin fan ( Left). We have checked all sensors, fan blowers, servos etc. The AC blows nice and cold.
