This European-spec (RoW) 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cope was originally configured for the Italian market and comes finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Black partial leather interior. The car was factory equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission as well as an optional limited-slip differential and sports suspension (M030). It was first registered in December 1991 and has remained in Italy ever since while undergoing routine maintenance at authorized service centers as well as the installation of an upgraded Bilstein suspension and genuine 17” Cup Design wheels. Verified for its condition and originality by the Italian Porsche Club Register, this 964 is now being offered for auction while showing approximately 110k kilometers on the odometer.

This 964 came factory finished in Midnight Blue Metallic (L37W), a new color for the 1991 model year. This year also coincided with a new aerodynamic Cup mirror design derived from the 911 Turbo. The car is factory optioned with a sunroof and a rear window wiper and has been fitted with a set of authentic 17” Cup Design wheels dressed in new Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. The seller notes the exterior was previously refinished to address cosmetic wear, although there is no history of any damage or accidents. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The Black partial leather (LT) interior includes power-adjustable seats, matching carpet floor mats with Porsche logos, air-conditioning, and an optional onboard computer integrated within the central tachometer. The sound system is paired with a period-correct Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB radio. The seller adds that the cabin remains in excellent original condition with all gauges and accessories working properly.

Rated at 247 HP, the air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed G50 manual transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. The car was also factory-optioned with sports suspension which added stiffer springs, dampers, and a thicker front sway bar. The suspension has been modified with a set of upgraded Bilstein coilovers. The seller notes the car’s original service booklet is included and additional maintenance was performed by a reputable classic Porsche specialist in Italy. The car was also confirmed as having a numbers matching engine and transmission by the Porsche Club Registro Italiano 911 e 912. Corresponding documents are provided in the gallery.

This sale will include the original owner’s manuals and service booklet, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: This is a ‘91 model year which, in addition to having Cup mirrors and airbags, has undergone various engine modifications to eliminate the oil leak problems that plagued previous model years. It was set up with options for true driving enthusiasts: 030 Sports suspension, 220 LSD Limited Slip Differential, 425 rear window wiper, 573 Air conditioning 650 Sunroof, and 659 Trip Computer. Over the years it has been followed up in official centers or specialized in Porsche. Bilstein suspension was installed along with original 17″ Cup rims (not standard at the time) and Michelin Pilot Sport tires with Porsche N approval (new). It has been checked by the Porsche Historical Register which has certified its condition (never damaged) and originality (matching number) and has issued detailed documentation. Very difficult to find a 964 Carrera 2 in this condition and with these characteristics.”

@jh986s The service book is present, you will find the photos in the gallery. 5/7,000$ will be needed for transport and importation but I advise you to contact agencies that take care of everything, the importation of classic cars is very simple but it is better to rely on professionals

  • jh986s (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

Beautiful car. Are there any service records that accompany the car? What would be the cost to import this to Chicago? And what is involved in the process?
