Up for auction is this 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet. Blending traditional 911 design elements with a sporty yet comfortable ride quality, the 964 is surely a pleasure to drive. Showing 88k Miles on the odometer, this example was traded in to the selling dealer just a month ago by a PCA member out of Kentucky. With a clean bill of health, this cabriolet is now being offered out of Indiana and ready to be fully enjoyed by its next owner.

This 964 is finished in factory Guards Red paint that is said to be in well above average condition with minimal wear present. Clear paint protection film has been installed to the front end, keeping it free of typical excess road going wear. A new black vinyl top has been installed and is said to be fully operational. This 964 rides on factory 16" alloy wheels that wear a set of Road Hugger Radial GT tires.

The black leather interior is in excellent condition and features a few bespoke design upgrades including red piping on the front supple leather seats and an updated head unit with subwoofers in custom rear floor boxes. All gauges and electronics are said to be in great working order aside from the blower motor which is said to work intermittently.

This 964 retains its original 3.6L (M64) flat-six air-cooled engine that produces approximately 250HP and 228 ft/lb of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission allowing for easy, everyday drivability. The owner states that this car is in excellent running condition and is up-to-date on all due service.

The Porsche 964 Generation is considered by many to be the best of all Air-Cooled Porsche models. The 964 elegantly blends traditional 911 design elements with a sporty yet comfortable ride quality. The dashboard retains many elements of the G-body cars while introducing new technologies such as dual airbags, ABS brakes, and Power steering. Mounted in front of the more modern feeling shifter are controls for the power door locks and active aero spoiler. A number of of mechanical advancements were also introduced with the 964, such as redesigned suspension components and the M64 engine.
