This is a 1992 C2 with option code 220 Limited Slip Differential. Super rare! The Widebody work looks fantastic and low mileage. GLWA!

@PCARMARKET Right not personally owned by Fabie, but one of his cars he sold off per the video I posted yesterday. I purchased the car through Fabie at Abreu Motors and had it serviced there after I bought it. Hope this clarifies that.

Here we are in the final hours. Remember the clock resets to 2 minutes after a bid no point in waiting for the last few seconds. I’ve noticed I’ve had to refresh my screen last few auctions you may need to as well. Good luck bidders!

Hello all. Happy Memorial Day! Here’s a video that I got when I bought the car to alleviate some concerns. I uploaded it today.

    https://youtu.be/qIyM4Qs7cKo

P.S. I never said Fabie did the Widebody work. That was done prior. That’s that. Obviously I negotiated the Porsche Classic Radio into the deal (paid extra $1k).

@jaynar I messaged Fabie from Abreu motors and he did not do the widebody. He also mentioned that this car was his friends car not his personal vehicle but it was serviced and sold through his shop so @bringatrailer needs to update this post. Still a good looking widebody. Glwa

  • Charlie83 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@jaynar just messaged you with my number. Also do you have any previous ppi when you bought the car? Thanks again!

  • jaynar (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@Charlie83 I do not know exactly when the conversion was done, but I did acquire the car from Abreu. Hit the contact seller button and send me your phone number to try and coordinate a showing. Thanks.

  • Charlie83 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

Hi do you know when the widebody conversion was done? Was it by Abreu motors? Also sorry for the late notice but any chance of showing the car sometime tomorrow or early Tuesday? I am not to far from Danville. Thanks!

@badboybuses Late ‘91 Builds on, but yes this ‘92 has the updated design from the factory.

  • badboybuses (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

Was it the 92 that had the updated cylinder head design or was it the 93?

Made a video last night going over the reflector markers on the highway in my whisper quiet Tesla. As you can hear the same type of noise. Although quieter obviously 5 year old car with way better sound deadening and New Michelin‘s vs a 30 year old sports car on Contis lol

  • shy (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    Thank You.

  • jaynar (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@shy I honestly don’t know. I know the wing is, but did not confirm the rest. But the car was good enough for Fabie Abreu that goes a long way….
Is it perfect? Definitely not. It’s an amazing 30 year old machine that resembles the iconic Turbo for the fraction of the cost. And no turbo maintenance! I was thinking to get rid of the Turbo wing and put on a factory decklid/spoiler to go for a ‘94 WB look at some point. All the wiring etc for that is still there, control module etc so it can be done.

Hi there is the turbo body conversion all OE factory parts from Porsche.

  • jaynar (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@cesx415 Hey man I’ll text you to see if we can coordinate. I did just review the video that’s the sound of running over the reflector markers on the 680 (which is a super bumpy highway as you know living in Martinez as you mentioned). Even my Tesla Model S and 997 Turbo make the same sound in the cabin as you run over those reflectors inside the cabin of the car. I’m surprised you didn’t pick up on that. Someone from Colorado I can understand for example because they don’t have those out there with the snow having to be plowed and all lol. So hope this helps. That’s a normal sound….in any car.

  • cesx415 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

Hey, @jaynar just thought I’d still ask .. I know you mentioned you may be going to Tahoe for the weekend but if by chance you are available to show the car in person before auction end please let me know. I will make any time work based on your availability. As I mentioned I flew to SD for another 964 that [was] on the market but it didn’t go well due to a component not working but necessary for me. Said 964 ended up not selling. I of course understand concern for test-drives, so I won’t ask for that, not at this point anyway. I am also curious what that “clunk” sound might be that can be heard at the 0:56-0:57, 1:56-1:58 mark on the driving video. Perhaps a suspension component given they occurred during bumps in road? Not a tire kicker or anything, just a buyer interested in a 964 or 993 who needs to see in person if the car speaks to me. And I definitely do like your 964, you have great taste in mods and I can only imagine the experience you’ve had owning many Porsche. Thanks in advance for your consideration and hope you have a good time in Tahoe. Go Warriors !

@Tpc11905 No 964 in history came out of the factory with Fuchs. This car either had D90's or Cup 1's. Anyhow no original wheels included.

  • Tpc11905 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

Do you have the original Fuchs for this car?

@clubrcr Those are all normal warning lights before the car is started. You can see the check engine light come on before the car is started and turn off after as it should (that’s why I showed that in the video). The only lights that have been disconnected are the airbag because of the Momo steering wheel and the spoiler light because of the fixed turbo spoiler. The other light you see there before I drive off is the E brake warning light and seat belt light. No active lights as you drive. Glove box could use an adjustment but I did have the manual shoved in there. No compression test needed with the miles. Plus you can see the old spark plugs before new ones were put in one of the pics. As older air cool mechanics have said, and I now have the ear for after owning 10+ air cooled Porsches…you can just listen to how the engine sounds and tell if it needs a valve adjustment etc. This C2 runs smooth as they come especially with the fresh plugs and oil.

  • clubrcr 1 year, 11 monthsago

On the driving video, what were the warning lights on the dash, one in the clock and the other in the tach? The glove box looks like it need an adjustment? Has the car had a compression test?

Hi everyone! Here’s your opportunity to own a well sorted highly desirable ‘92 964. Everyone knows what ‘94 Widebody 964s go for now, here’s your chance to own one at the fraction of the cost in RWD form with factory LSD! I’m only selling because I got a 993. After having this car with the Porsche Classic Radio it’s a must have! I need to get another one for my 993. Fabie himself installed it in this car from my understanding. He also recently did all the maintenance in between his Backdate builds. I’m here to answer any questions best I can, good luck bidders!
