We are pleased to present this 1-owner 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Targa presented in Guards Red over a black leather interior. This well-sorted example has been owned by the same family since new and remains in exceptional condition. Now being offered for auction by its seller in Kansas City, Missouri with a mere 37k miles on the odometer, this Targa is ready to begin its journey with a new owner.
The Guards Red finish on this Carrera is stated to be in excellent condition. Having been in the same family since new, this Targa is confirmed to have always been garage kept and properly maintained. Detailed images are available in the photo gallery. Exterior features include a recently restored removable targa top along with original 17” alloy 5-spoke wheels which come wrapped in Toyo tires with ample tread life remaining.
Inside, you will find a black leather interior that has clearly been extremely well-cared for. All electrical components are said to be in excellent working order including the power-operated front seats as well as the original Blaupunkt radio.
Power in this 964 comes from an air-cooled 3.6L (M64) flat-six engine which produces 250 HP and 228 ft/lb of torque from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a crisp G50 5-speed manual transmission which propels this 964 from 0-60 in approximately 5.5 seconds and continues onto a top speed of 162mph. The car is up-to-date on all regularly scheduled maintenance and has been serviced by a local Porsche dealer throughout its entire life. The seller notes the engine is in excellent mechanical condition and reflects the family’s meticulous years of regular service.

@Mchlizzo That is interesting. I hadn't noticed. There is indeed a 581 mile (1.8%) discrepancy between odometer readings recorded in CarFax in 2010 and 2011. The readings were by different sources. It clearly looks like someone made a mistake scratching down the odometer readings.

@Billymartin I'm currently out of town and away from the service records with that detail. But the car goes in to a Porsche shop once a year. They complete whatever is needed. I remember the valves were serviced at some point, but can't give you the date. I'm fortunate that this special car just hasn't had any issues (accidents, injuries, special service needs, etc). Its biggest risk, I am told, is the low number of driven miles - engines don't like sitting in a garage. Therefore, I get it in for its annual day at the spa for fluids, or belts, or whatever is recommended by the pros. Hope this helps.
