Introduced in 1980, the Land Cruiser 60 Series retained the rugged characteristics of generations prior while offering a host of new driver amenities and an improved interior. Production of the J60 was officially concluded by Toyota in Japan in 1990, although the truck saw another two years of production at the Cumana Plant in Venezuela for its local market. This final-year FJ62 is said to have been garage-kept by its original owner before it was recently acquired by the specialists at House of Cruisers. Its original 3F inline six-cylinder engine was fully serviced, and the truck was overhauled with new interior upholstery, paint, upgraded suspension, new tires, and more. This Land Cruiser is now being offered for auction showing approximately 138k kilometers or 85k miles on the odometer.

This FJ62 was refinished in its factory red color by House of Cruisers in May 2022 using high-quality PPG paint. Details include tri-color side decals, chrome mirrors and door handles, polished bumpers, a rear window wiper, quad headlights, and bright window surrounds. This Land Cruiser rides on 15” Toyota wheels with OEM hubcaps and new BF Goodrich K02 All-Terrain tires.

The cabin has been recently restored to factory specifications using new OEM brown vinyl and khaki striped upholstery. Factory equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, and power steering. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

Power comes from an original 4.0-liter 3F inline six-cylinder engine which has been fully serviced and mated to its numbers-matching 4-speed automatic transmission. Extensive service carried out by House of Cruisers recently included rebuilt brakes, new belts and hoses, fresh fluids, a new radiator, and the installation of an upgraded Old Man Emu suspension.

This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, OEM toolkit, spare tire, and, a clean title.

@mattiboomalaty correct, Carfax does not provide reports on VINs less than 17 digits unfortunately. This is the VIN configuration for these units in South America. We can attest that is clear of accidents prior to restoration as well as since it has been restored (just months ago). Hope this helps.

  • mattiboomalaty (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

@Houseofcruisers sounds good, I’ve been trying to run the CARFAX for as much as that will seal the deal but it needs 17 characters instead of 10

  • mattiboomalaty (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

If I’m reading correctly that the engine and transmission are original and the only changes are seat covers, breaks, suspension, things of that nature? Are you also able to post a CARFAX report or the full vin? Thank you
