Available for auction is this 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 V8 finished in a custom multicolor paint scheme over a custom black leather interior. The successor to the Land Rover Series III, the Defender 110 carried over much of the bodywork and running gear from its predecessor while offering big improvements including permanent four-wheel-drive, coil spring suspension, an updated cabin, and more. This Defender is said to have undergone a frame-off restoration which included a custom Paul Smith style multicolor pain theme along with a matching interior. Other details include upgraded lighting, a roof rack, BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires, a JVC radio head unit, and more. It is now being offered for auction with 41km driven since the restoration.
The Defender 110 shared much of its bodywork with the Series III which it replaced but can be distinguished by its revised grille, hood, and wheel arch extensions. This example has been finished in a custom Paul Smith-inspired multicolor scheme consisting of blue, green, red, grey, and yellow panels and trim. The seller notes that this Defender underwent a frame-off restoration and that the finish remains in excellent condition. Additional photos can be found in the gallery. Details include a front bull bar, LED lighting, a roof rack, sliding cargo area windows, and 16″ five-spoke wheels finished in black. The wheels are dressed in a set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires.
The cabin was reportedly reupholstered in black leather with multicolored striped inserts and features grey carpets, folding third-row seats, roll-up windows, a lockable center console, air conditioning, and a JVC radio head unit with a backup camera. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from an aluminum 3.9liter Rover V8 which produced up to 180 HP and 227 lb-ft of torque when new. All four wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. The seller notes that the engine is original to the truck and was refreshed during the restoration. A 125-point inspection is said to have been carried out, and no outstanding service items were noted.

This was a frame off restoration so in general no issues. It is a Land Rover and like all Land Rovers there is some water that can run into doors during hard rain. No major leaks, No major mechanical issues. It has been serviced and driven by our service department. It is ready for show or next adventure.

What can you say about any rain leaks? Weather strip looks good, but leaking is a problem with some, particularly on the roof seams. Underneath looks clean. Any mechanical fluid leaks? Thx.
