Now up for auction is this 1993 Mercedes-Benz W140 400 SEL finished in Black and Grey over a Black leather interior. Equipped with a 4.2L V8 engine, an extended wheelbase, and a vast array of driver amenities, this SEL represented the height of automotive luxury at the time of its debut. Now showing just over 77,400 miles on the odometer, this classic Mercedes-Benz is being offered by its seller in New York with a recent full service carried out in preparation for sale.
The two-tone Black and Grey exterior is said to be in very good overall condition with some minor imperfections. A hairline crack is also depicted on the lower passenger side of the rear window (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with recent paint meter readings). This W140 rides on factory 16” 8-hole light-alloy wheels which are currently dressed in Firestone tires.
The interior is upholstered in Black leather with decorative wood veneer throughout the cabin. Boasting a longer wheelbase than the standard S-class offered at the time, this SEL provides superior accommodations for rear-seat passengers. The original Becker Grand Prix 2000 radio remains in place and the seller has confirmed all gauges and accessories to be working properly, although the radio does experience some distortion. Optional features equipped for this example also include:
Approximately 280 HP is derived from a 4.2L V8 engine which is mated to a 4-speed 4G-Tronic automatic transaxle. A comprehensive recent service was carried out in preparation for sale which included new fluids and filters, new spark plugs, and a new distributor. This W140 is reported to be in excellent turn-key driving condition.
The sale of this Mercedes will include a set of 2 master keys plus 2 extra key blades, owner's books, and a clean Carfax report. This flagship luxury sedan is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner, do not let this incredible value pass you by.

@EUROsellinc That's fine thank you If you could also I would like to see the car with the windows up please!
@mtrisnohadi hi. I won’t be able to provide until Mon but I will have it before auction end. It is not worth replacing the glass in my opinion which is why I didn’t. I prefer my vehicles as original as reasonably possible. Thank you.
@larryltax hello. There are a few records with the original books and keys. I went through the whole car and found it to need nothing. Preventative maintenance was carried out including an oil service, new plugs, wires and distributors. It drives like a dream and I invite you to inspect prior to bidding.
Close up and more detail picture on the crack window please!
do you have prior service records, ownership data, etc?
