Delivered new in Japan, this 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe was acquired by the current owner in January 2022 and immediately delivered to Nakai San at RWB’s headquarters in Kashiwa. The car underwent a signature RWB widebody conversion and was refinished in Maritime Blue over a customized black leather interior. It was also upgraded with adjustable coilovers, an APR exhaust, and Carrera RS engine mounts. Upon completion of the build in July 2022, the car was imported to the United States where it underwent major engine-out service by an authorized Porsche dealer. This authentic one-off RWB build is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
The custom RWB bodywork is fitted by hand and includes modified bumpers, rocker panels, bolt-on fenders, a GT2-style rear wing, a front splitter, and dive planes. The car was finished in the rare 1990s Porsche color of Maritime Blue and paired with a set of custom RWB-spec Work S1 wheels dressed in Yokohama Advan Neova tires. The seller notes the paintwork was performed by RWB in Japan and some evidence of the original Guards Red color is present upon very close inspection. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior has been fitted with a set of custom RS-style Recaro Pole Position bucket seats trimmed in black and blue leather. Other additions include a short shifter, MOMO Mod 07 three-spoke steering wheel, stainless steel door sills, and a Continental Bluetooth stereo. The passenger airbag cover has also been personally signed and numbered by the car’s builder.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. The engine has been upgraded with RS engine mounts, a MAF conversion, and APR exhaust, and was disassembled for a comprehensive service by Porsche Centre London of Ontario in January 2023. The car was also fitted with an adjustable Silver’s NEOMAX coilover kit and aligned to custom RWB specifications. Associated invoices are provided for reference in the gallery along with older Japanese service records from previous ownership. The seller adds that approximately 3k kilometers have been driven since the car's completion and major service has been performed including the following:
This sale will include a clean title and an extensive collection of documentation and build records.

Morning folks, we are winding down to the final couple days on here, thank you for the bids so far. Have had two viewings, both with positive response, and wishing you guys the best of luck on bidding! An opportunity to own a freshly-built RWB with only a few thousand miles since its overhaul.
I’ve had several messages from interested bidders asking for a value approximation on this car. Of course, I cannot share the reserve price, but I feel pcarmarket and I have worked together to be quite competitive, and it’s almost certain this car will go to a new home this week. Given the 1 of 1 nature of this car, and the VERY long wait list to have one built, I will try my best to shed some light.
Currently, there are only two American RWB’s on the market that I’ve been able to find. A 964 C4 for $269k (red), and a 993 C2 for $299k (grey) - both decent but aged builds. RWB’s vary dramatically from one example to the next, ranging from extensive show car builds, to ratty neglected 911s with a body kit and nothing else. Comparatively I think this car is a pretty nice rwb. The cost to replicate at current market pricing would look something like this:
47k-mile 964 C2 coupe 5-speed donor car - ~$120-130k
RWB kit, wheels, tires, and full car paint - ~$65k
Interior - $10-15k
Suspension - $5-10k
Misc. engine/mechanical servicing and sorting (NOT modifying) - $15-$20k
Total cost around $230-240k USD, using very conservative estimates, and without going crazy on mods - and that is IF you could get a build slot. This also would not include travel costs, incidentals/surprises, and the YEARS of wait time. This is a great opportunity to skip the wait, skip the headache, and buy a pre-sorted car that you can drive next week!
@Jarod964 Hi @Jarod964 the person who would fly out to se the cars user name is @puremotorsfl she messages you
Sorry all for the slow reply, am on a cross country trip with spotty service and just got to a hotel…frankly I did not expect the car would be live on here this quickly, so it’s a bit challenging staying on top of messages. Trying my best to accommodate everyone.

Bid in the amount of $84,964
Beautiful ride, watched this build over IG and spared no expenses and cut no corners. Happy bidding but I am hoping to see this back on Canadian soil!
@Nonissan I enjoy the build process, and now I am onto my next air-cooled project, which is a bit more resource-intensive. Wish I could keep them all but there are only so many spots in the garage and days in the week to drive.
Why go through all of the effort to build just to sell? Beautiful car
Good morning bidders, thank you for checking out my RWB. Building this car has been a long and tiring process, but SO worth it in the end. The car is totally sorted and drives as perfectly as it looks. Truly a 1 of 1 car with a driving experience and road presence like nothing else out there, inspired by the 964 Carrera RS of the same era. I will be available for the next 7 days to answer any questions or provide any additional info - the car is freshly detailed, dry iced, and tucked under a cover awaiting its new home. Good luck bidding!
Thank you @ADRIAN and @markiemark for the kind words.
Pretty Car !!! GLWS
I have seen this car and know the owner personally, his attention to detail is exceptional. Buyers will definitely not be disappointed. GLWS
