Porsche’s answer to U.S. customers' demand for a lightweight track-focused 911, the RS America was based on a 964 Carrera 2 and featured a spartan interior with no rear seats, basic amenities, and manual rack and pinion steering. This example is said to be one of just over 700 produced for the United States between 1993 and 1994 and was raced under the sponsorship of Patron Tequila prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2018. It has since been completely refinished and fitted with new leather bucket seats, Bilstein coilovers, Volk Racing wheels, and a Fabspeed exhaust system along with a rebuild of its original engine by LN Engineering. The perfect choice for an avid air-cooled driving enthusiast, this Carrera RS America is said to have traveled less than 1k miles since the completion of the build and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

The car was previously painted in Conda Green with a black Patron livery during its racing career and was completely disassembled and refinished in its original Grand Prix White color in 2018. It rides on Rays 18” Volk Racing forged monoblock wheels in satin bronze with Yokohama A032 R tires. Other details include a "slicktop" roof panel, yellow-tinted headlamps, front brake duct inserts, a front chin splitter, and chrome Fabspeed exhaust tips. The seller notes the car has been driven less than 1k miles since it was painted and fitted with new tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the cabin has been fitted with a painted roll cage, a MOMO three-spoke steering wheel, and a pair of two-tone Recaro RS Touring leather bucket seats with Schroth safety harnesses. An aftermarket radio has been installed and the original Porsche stereo is said to be included as well.

The original 3.6-liter flat-six engine is said to have been completely rebuilt and blueprinted by LN Engineering including new Mahle pistons, a Fabspeed stainless steel exhaust system, and a Steve Wong performance chip. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential which are also said to have been rebuilt by LN Engineering along with the installation of a new clutch. Other items include Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, new brake rotors and Pagid brake pads. The seller notes the car has been corner-balanced and aligned, and that a 600-mile break-in service was recently completed including an oil change and valve adjustments.

This sale will include a clean title and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

Rode in the car yesterday. Hard to believe the transformation. You can tell a lot spent a lot was spent transforming it back to street. I would be in the game if it had a/c. You won’t be disappointed unless you’re looking for a garage queen.

Headliner is new and fight fit above the roll cage. The led interior light works great. Heater all hooked up. Thus the Fabspeed RS exhaust with heat exchanger. Check out the photos, the interior is done to duplicate the RS car look.

  • 3283Emil (seller) 1 yearago

@tonytuzz the interior refurbishment is 1st rate. I will give an honest 8. No exposed corner, everything works, no loose wiring

Hi. As a rehabbed race car, how would you rate the interior reinstallation job? No loose corners, broken clips, headliner fits well, etc? What about electrical accessories, heater, etc that may have been removed? Any evidence of hacked up wiring?

  • 3283Emil (seller) 1 yearago

@MC-Leather this car has all the original sheet metal. There is evidence of an off track excursion with sheet metal damage on the left front suspension area. It was repaired when I purchased the car. I had the car on a frame machine to check for any issue when I first purchased the car. It is true to alignment and height adjustment . This car came from Porsche with no sunroof option, no AC option. The other 2 options were on the car is radio and limited slip differential.

  • MC-Leather (registered bidder) 1 yearago

I really dig this car. Does it have any crash history, any non-original body panels, how did they delete the sunroof? TIA.

  • 3283Emil (seller) 1 yearago

I have originally detail work list by Bilt Racing/LN Engineering but could not forward to you . The engine n all work done has +_700 miles on it. The break in service just completed with new oil, valve adjustment, new valve gasket n new covers as well. Thank you. The mechanical rebuilt was done in 2018 right before I purchased the car.

  • Robmac123 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@seller Could you tell me when the engine and gearbox were rebuilt ? How many miles since, and is there an invoice/receipt for this work available ? Thanks

Thanks for the interest on my car, there’s no good reason to sell this car…except I’m getting to be elderly, need to thin out my cars and let someone to care for this special car in the future.
