RWB (Rauh-Welt Begriff) Porsche customizer Akira Nakai creates some of the most recognizable cars in the world. The cars are so interesting and badass that they are featured on Instagram posts with unmatched frequency.  The wide fenders and massive wings come together to form a unique and sinister looking beast.

The RWB offered here was built in November 2014, and is only the 3rd in Florida.  The car was based on the very desirable 964 platform and according to the seller has 78,244 actual miles.  The original owner chose to use a lower mileage accident free 1993 964 donor.  He also checked off almost every option available at the time, making it one of the most well equipped and designed RWBs ever produced.  The car is finished in Porsche Grand Prix white with a custom black interior.  Power comes from a 3.6L engine connected to a 5-speed custom fabricated CAE shifter.

This RWB has full service records including an engine refresh completed only 7k miles ago ($9,000).

Here is a list of RWB modification and aftermarket add-ons with total cost of each:

  • RWB body kit - $35K
  • Work wheels w/tires from Japan - $8K
  • Brombacher headers and dual outlet mufflers - $6K
  • Rottec carbon fiber race seats - $4K
  • CAE shifter - $2.5K (parts and labor/ fabrication)
  • Momo Porsche design steering wheel - $1K
  • New OEM Porsche upper leather dash - $1.5K
  • Custom LED headlights - $1.5K (a pair of yellow lenses and stock headlights will be included)
  • Paint work + RWB conversion shop/garage fees - 5K
  • Miscellaneous (Steve Wong chip, cone air filter, Bilstein shocks, Rennline front stabilizing brace "bar", carbon fiber heat air duct bypass)
  • New Sachs clutch, new alternator, AC filled and leak tested (found no leaks)
  • Batteries and spark plugs both replaced and checked less than 200 miles ago

Purchaser will receive a clean Carfax with the original window sticker and a clean title

This is a great opportunity to own a rare piece of custom Porsche history.

I still don't get butchering a car, making it into a sheep in wolves clothing. Reminds me of the"bling" they sell at auto parts stores to add stick-on hood scoops and port holes.

anyone know the process for getting Akira Nakai to customize your own 911? I know it takes like a year but just wondering how exclusive it is and if theirs a waiting list or something???

very nice! an RWB P car is an instant collector's toy regardless whether it's a stocker or modified. Loved that CAE shifter. Very tempting to bid on this one as I'm closing on a deal for a another car. Good luck to the potential new owner. and Happy Motoring!

@Petroli @Adam agreed. thing about rwb is when you have one your part of a small club. sure if you have the money a lambo is an ultimate status symbol. but if you don't care about what others think and are a true car person - feel like you need to own one of these if you have a collection or if you just want to be part of the rwb gang and don't have any other cars that's even cooler.

  • Petroli (registered bidder) 5 yearsago

was talking to a friend about this and this would be more of a head turner than a lambo and I had to think about it and I think he's right... there's literally nothing like an RWB and I love the videos below. turn your sound on LOUD and listen!
