We are pleased to present this 1993 Porsche 964 RS America racecar finished in a custom Polar Silver and Lapis Blue livery.  Debuted exclusively for the U.S. market as a lightweight performance-oriented 964 model, the RS America offered the ideal platform for the track, and subsequently many have been converted into purpose-built racecars.  Featuring an impressive list of upgrades and performance modifications, this 1993 example has been a dedicated racecar for most of its life with a competitive history dating back to the mid 1990’s.  Highlighting a recent top end engine overhaul carried out at a cost of over $20k, this race-ready RS America is the perfect choice for any demanding driver in search of their next track-day Porsche.

This RS America is finished in its factory color of Polar Silver with Lapis Blue livery.  Some typical roadgoing wear can be seen, although the exterior is said to remain in great shape with Xpel paint protection film applied over the hood, mirrors and below the headlights.  The seller also notes that a new windshield was installed in 2019, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  Exterior modifications include a Rennspeed GT2-style front splitter, GT Racing fiberglass front and rear bumpers, a fiberglass RS 3.8 rear decklid and a custom welded sunroof delete.  Other details include fog light brake cooling ducts, painted headlight covers and clear corner lenses.  This RS America rides on 18” Forgeline WC3R wheels which come dressed in Hoosier R6 tires.  The seller notes that an additional set of Forgeline wheels will be included in-sale along with a spare set of 17” Turbo Twist style wheels custom painted to match the car.

Inside, this 964 features a custom lightweight racing interior which was professionally painted Polar Silver in 2013.  A Sparco Pro FIA Hans driver’s seat has also been installed along with a Sparco Pro passenger seat and Schroth safety harnesses.

Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six engine which is mated to number’s matching 5-speed manual transmission with factory limited slip differential.  A thoroughly modified racecar, this RS America has been outfitted with factory Porsche 996/997 RS/RSR electric power steering which is paired with a rebuilt 964 power steering rack, Aeroquip lines and a custom mil spec wiring harness.  The car is said to weigh in at just over 2700lbs dry while putting out over 260 HP to the rear wheels.

The sale of this RS America will include a set of two keys, extra wheels, an additional Sparco seat, extensive documentation and spare parts.  For any dedicated track enthusiast, this generously equipped RS America racecar is not to be overlooked.

    @Jamesboyd58 Hi James,

    Thanks for your interest.

    No fuel cell, stock 964 gas tank.

    It has an Indiana title.

    Currently not street legal, it could be made that way with enough time/effort/expense.

    No fue

    Looks like a well sorted race car on a great 964 platform. Does it have a fuel cell? Current Ohio title? Is it street legal or could it be made to be street legal at reasonable effort and expense? Thanks and GLWTA.
