We are pleased to present this highly sought after 1994 Audi RS2 Avant finished in special order Titanium Grey over a black leather interior.  Built in collaboration with Porsche at their Rössle-Bau factory in Zuffenhausen, the RS2 was introduced as Audi’s first RS model with approximately 2900 examples built between 1994 and 1995.  This particular RS2 is said to have started life in Denmark where the previous owner commissioned a custom engine rebuild with forged internals, an upgraded fuel system, and a larger Garret turbocharger.  The car was eventually purchased from a dealer in Belgium in 2019 and imported by the current owner in Colorado.  Having since undergone extensive amounts of mechanical refurbishment to ensure excellent running order, this rare and tastefully upgraded RS2 Avant is now being offered with approximately 192k kilometers (119k miles) showing on the odometer.

This RS2 is factory finished in the special-order color of Titanium Grey.  The paint is said to be in good driver-grade condition with the tailgate recently refinished to address a few small blemishes.  A minor crack on the front bumper is also depicted in the photo gallery. Based on the B4 Avant, the RS2 features unique details from Porsche including its 993-inspired bumpers, distinctive aero mirrors, subtle Porsche side emblems, red Porsche-branded brake calipers, and 17” Cup wheels shared with the 964 Turbo.  The tires are said to retain approximately 80% tread.

Inside, this RS2 features a black leather interior with decorative burl wood trim.  Features unique to the RS2 include its 3-spoke leather steering wheel, white instrument dials, and Recaro sport bucket seats.  An aftermarket JVS Bluetooth radio has been installed along with Boston Acoustics speakers, and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

The RS2 is powered by a version of Audi’s 2.2 L inline 5-cylinder engine that was specially tuned and modified by Porsche for an original output of 311 HP and 302 lb.-ft of torque.  A 6-speed manual gearbox sends power to all four wheels through Audi’s Quattro system, while the Porsche-supplied brakes provide excellent stopping power.  This example is said to have undergone a full custom engine rebuild in Denmark under its previous ownership.  He installed JE pistons, IE rods, 7A cams, ARP bolts, King Race bearings, and a new oil pump. The cylinder head was also completely refreshed, and a set of 1000cc injectors were fitted along with a Walbro in-tank fuel pump. The car is running a custom stainless steel exhaust system along with a Wagner intake manifold. A Garret GTX3071R turbocharger helps this RS2 achieve a claimed output of 473 HP.  The suspension was upgraded with H&R coil-overs and an ECU Masters standalone unit was installed for easy tuning and Bluetooth connectivity.  The car is said to be in great running order with the following refurbishment carried out under the current ownership:

  • Replaced Driver CV Boot
  • Replaced Motor Mounts
  • Adjusted Throttle (Modified Inner Hood Shroud)
  • Adjusted Exhaust Hangers
  • Replaced Bumper Lights
  • Adjusted Front and Rear Bumper Mounts
  • Repaired Engine Temperature Gauge
  • Replaced Belly Pan
  • Installed Radiator Shroud
  • Replaced the Steering Rack Boot

This sale will include a clean title.  With its low production numbers, illustrious history, and impressive upgrades, this Audi RS2 makes a perfect choice for any passionate driving enthusiast.

@cultcars I was reiterating the previous question of being registered, because registration indicates it has passed emissions. But you answered my main concern, so thank you!

  • cultcars (seller) 3 years, 3 monthsago

@jonas1jp if the car is sold in Colorado it’s the sellers responsibility to insure the vehicle passes emissions, so you don’t have to worry

  • cultcars (seller) 3 years, 3 monthsago

@jonas1jp I have not tested it for emissions but it does have a catalytic converter. I don’t understand your question about registered? It will be sold with a clean Colorado title

  • jonas1jp (registered bidder) 3 years, 3 monthsago

@cultcars registered and emissions passed? It would have to pass for me as a Colorado resident. Only pre-1975 autos are exempt to my knowledge.

@Ambassador-Auto Hi, thanks for your comment. The original valve cover was just replaced and can be supplied to the new owner upon request. It should be noted, the tuner who supplied the custom valve cover did so because it provides significantly better ventilation for the injectors which are prone to failure due to excessive heat from the factory valve cover. The origingal intake manifold is not available and would have to be sourced. If you're looking for a car with all the original parts this isn't the one for you.

Hello, beautiful car. A few important questions. I understand that the motor went through a complete rebuild which I am sure makes this car feel great, however, some of the original engine components were removed, lied the valve cover, the engine intake, which are the Porsche designed parts that say Porsche on them. Does the car come with the original parts? These are very important to the value of this car as they are part of what represents the partnership between Audi and Porsche. Please let me know. Still gorgeous. Thanks
