We are pleased to present this low-mileage 1994 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II. The Evo II was the final version of the Delta HF Integrale, the legendary rally car that dominated the World Rally Championship with 6 consecutive constructor titles from 1987-1991, a record that still stands to this day. Showing just over 9700km (6000 miles) on the odometer, this example is among the lowest mileage Evo IIs available and comes finished in Bianco over a tan Alcantara interior.  Originally delivered in Japan, this Evo II was imported to the U.S. in 2019 by its current owner after sitting unused for about 20 years. It has since undergone a comprehensive refurbishment to bring the car back to proper running order and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.

This Lancia is finished Bianco (210), one of three standard colors offered on the Evo II.  The front bumper and side skirts were professionally refinished in 2019, and new OEM Euro headlights sourced from an authorized supplier in Italy.  Following refurbishment, the car is said to have been displayed at the Radnor Concourse de Elegance in Pennsylvania. Detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery. Designed by Giogretto Giugiaro, the Delta Evo II features iconic box-flared fenders, a vented hood, and an adjustable high-mount rear spoiler. It also sports a red-trimmed “HF” front grill along with “HF” badging on the front fenders. 16” alloy Speedline Monte Carlo wheels came standard, which are wrapped in newer BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2 tires.

The cockpit is trimmed in tan Alcantara with Recaro sport seats featuring embossed “HF” logos in the headrests. Factory equipment includes a MOMO Corse steering wheel, a drilled aluminum gas pedal, yellow Veglia instrumentation, a Sony cassette player, and a rear cargo cover. Some minor wear is present on the outer front seat bolsters and slight headliner sag is noted toward the rear of the cabin.  The air conditioning system is currently nonfunctional.

The Evo II is powered by a 2.0L 16-valve turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine which distributes power to all four wheels through a full-time AWD system that includes a Ferguson viscous center coupler and a rear Torsen limited-slip differential. Rated at 212 HP and 229 lb.-ft of torque, the Evo II can reach 60 miles per hour from a standstill in as little as 5.4 seconds. During the current ownership, several major services were carried out including an overhaul of the braking system with a new master cylinder, rotors, and rebuilt calipers, removal and cleaning of the fuel system, replacements of the radiator, water pump, and timing belt, and the installation of new shocks and suspension bushings.  The car is said to have been driven approximately 2,000 km during the current ownership.

This sale will include a set of two keys, a spare tire, original owner's manuals, and a clean title. An important piece of automotive history and one of the most iconic hot hatchbacks of all time, this well-preserved, low-mileage Lancia Delta Evoluzione II is a must-have for any avid car collector.

I was the high bidder on this car on cars & bids. I had asked the seller numerous times to send me the importation documents copies and never given them. There was also an issue with the title that the site did not pick up on. I did not feel comfortable moving forward with the deal. A few weeks later the seller reached out to me with a copy of a new title . I asked again for the importation documents and a day later he told me the car was not available anymore. I see it has landed here and read the posts about the importation many years ago and not 2. I guess by the post you feel the car is worth more money. Good luck with your sale. I feel if you more clear and upfront we may have been able to finalize a transaction. This would not be my first overseas car I have purchased and it is important to have all the documentation.

Just to give you guys an idea how much mint Integrale with low km are selling for. Here is a recent sale in UK. https://silverstoneauctions.com/sa074-lot-0-1995-lancia-delta-evo-2-edizione-finale .Yes my car is not a final edition, and has 4000 more kilometers . The final edition sold for 300K . My car is white, the best color for Integrale and I am willing to take only half of final edition price. Now it's your call, with only 5 hours left you better start bidding.

@ttforcefed yup exactly, but the original Japanese export certificate will provide the info showing it’s true export date form the country. @mendelsgarage can you upload this certificate, it is needed to even title and register the car so it should be on hand. Thanks

  • newcollector (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@MendelGarage Yep, no Evo2 in 1989 but if this was brought into Newark, US as a 1989 in 2014 doesn't that make it a Fed seize and crush risk? As it didn't meet the 25-y-o import rule surely.

  • MendelGarage (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@ttforcefed This vehicle is clearly a 1994 , Lancia did not made any EVO 2's in 1989. EVO 2 are 1994-1995 only.

  • ttforcefed (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Monzared there shld be Canadian docs from 2014 and American ones from 2019 no?

  • ttforcefed (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@MendelGarage there are pics on cars n bids that you posted showing 9mils so calling me a liar about the 10 mils doesnt make sense.

  • Monzared 2 years, 10 monthsago

@mendelsgarage can you upload the Japanese export certificate.

  • ttforcefed (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@MendelGarage bringing a 1994 car in as a 1989 in 2014 through Canada shld make a buyer feel better?

  • MendelGarage (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@ttforcefed Thank you for the comment. Let me clear somethings up for all of the interested parties, the CARS &BIDS sale did not go through due to an error on the title documents, i have since obtained a fresh and clear PA title which I provided to PCARMARKET prior to listing. The comment about the paintwork is untrue. Paint meter readings are in the listing and perspective bidders are more than welcome to check the car PRIOR to bidding. Nothing to hide here. The car was shipped to US in 2014, and transited to Canada for storage and it was brought to US in 2019.

  • newcollector (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@ttforcefed very interesting thanks for the info, here's the Lambo that was imported by the seller in the same shipment as this Delta: http://www.mendelsgarage.com/listings/1987-lamborghini-lm002
whats happening here, the listing says you imported this in 2019 not 2014 as an'89 model Delta?

  • ttforcefed (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Hi everyone, i currently own a delta and 2 weeks ago i went onsite to look at the car in the flesh:
    1) the winner of the cars and bids auction did NOT have funding issues.
    2) a clean title and import docs were not furnished at closing as promised.
    3) i paint metered the car and the top of the car measured 10mils with a ton of overspray and fisheyes
4)this shows the car being imported in 2014 as a 1989 Lancia delta: https://www.zauba.com/USA-import-lancia/hts-code-841440/country-JP-data.html

    @MendelGarage
    First, great car!

It says this sold on another auction site (you as the seller) on 5/28, what happened? Did it fall through, if so any info as to why?

Welcome to my Lancia Delta integrale auction. First of all, let me share my Lancia story with you. Growing up on the other side of the pond, at the age of 17, in 1990, I was lucky to get my hands on 1983 Lancia Delta 1.5 LX . The reason I bought Lancia was its rally heritage, I was truly fascinated by Lancia nonstop rally winnings. They were winning again and again and again. I, just like most of the young men I knew at that time, wanted to be the rally drivers. I had Lancia, I had that real tool in my hands with the winner name on it, so all I needed was to practice. Long story short, after one month or so of so called practice, I totaled my “rally car”. All those years I have been looking to get my hands on another Lancia, and finally was able to buy a decent 16V few year ago. Yet, it was not exactly what I was looking for. The car was used and usually “used Lancia Delta” means “tired” and something that won’t be new again, no matter how hard you try. For those, who don’t know, the old Delta interiors live they own life: plastic cracks, dash shakes, etc. for those who know - you know the story. So, I never stopped searching and one day I did it, I found the car, my car. She waited for me in storage for almost 20 years. She had only 7000 km on speedometer when I got her. This tool did not run for about 20 year and took me about 3 month before I fired her up.

Why and who put this gem for 20 years untouched I don’t know. I replaced the radiator, the water pump, the timing belt, removed and cleaned the fuel tank and the whole fuel system, some dry suspension bushing, and shocks. I replaced the master brake cylinder, the brake rotors all around, rebuilt the calipers and few more things, I don’t really remember it all. I sourced all parts from “Tank Barratt” in the UK. I also replaced the RHD JDM headlights with LHD euro headlights, the headlights came from a supplier in Italy. A/C does not work, but I never really bothered looking at it. I can probably fix it at buyer’s expense. I drove the car for about 2000 km and participated in a number of local C&C’s and driving events.

I am back to Europe now and have other priorities in life. But as to the car, as far as I know, this is the nicest and lowest miles Integrale known to exist today. Most importantly, it is 100% stock and has absolutely no mods. This is the purest driving experience you can get today. This car drives and feels like new. I would say it is a museum piece, but a car needs to be driven, it exists to be driven. Buy it, drive it, enjoy it. Good luck on bidding.
