We are pleased to present this 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6 finished in Black Metallic.  Upon its debut in 1993, the Turbo 3.6 replaced its 3.3L predecessor with a new turbocharged engine based on the latest M64 design as well as larger “Big Red” brakes and iconic multi-piece Speedline wheels. Today, the Turbo 3.6 remains one of the most desirable and highly collectible air-cooled Porsche models with 1,427 examples built for the entire world.  This 1994 Turbo is accompanied by its original $105,931 window sticker which includes an Exclusive Dark Rootwood shift knob and a unique two-tone black and grey leather interior with deviated seat piping and supple leather upholstery.  Currently showing just over 46k miles on the odometer, this 964 Turbo 3.6 is being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

Finished in Black Metallic, this Turbo is highlighted by a distinctive Tea Tray rear spoiler and wide bodywork.  The car is preserved under full Xpel clear paint protection film as well as a ceramic coating. The CARFAX report indicates damage to have occurred to the rear passenger side in 2014, although there is no further information available; detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  Some considerable refurbishment was carried out in 2020 by The Collection in Florida at a cost of over $7,600 including the replacements of the sunroof felt, fog lights, side markers, and various seals and moldings.  A corresponding invoice is provided for reference.  The Turbo 3.6 can be distinguished from its predecessor by its unique chrome rear model designation, red brake calipers, and 18” Speedline 3-piece wheels.  The wheels on this example feature optional Porsche center crests and are currently dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Inside, you will find a grey and black leather interior equipped with power-adjustable seats trimmed in supple leather with contrasting black piping. This 964 comes optioned with a Dark Rootwood shift knob, electric sliding sunroof, leather door panels, deviated carpeting, and a Porsche CD-2 radio with CD player.  The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

Power comes from a 3.6L turbocharged flat-six engine (M64/60) that develops as much as 355 HP stock, which is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 5-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.  An upgraded Billy Boat exhaust system has been installed and this Turbo came factory equipped with ABS, force-sensitive power steering, front/rear stabilizer bars, and 4-piston “Big Red” Brembo brakes with ventilated cross-drilled discs. The seller notes that a recent service was performed in preparation for sale, and the CARFAX report highlights several services over the past few years by the specialists at Parkhaus 1 Performance including the replacements of the clutch slave cylinder and brake booster in 2020.

This sale will include some maintenance invoices, the original window sticker, and a clean title.  A true supercar of its day, the Turbo 3.6 remains as special and exciting as ever. Do not miss your chance to own one of the most recognizable automotive icons of the 1990s.

@sportscarguy3 not that rare they made 3660. The turbo S is another story. Only 81 were produced. Still for 200k get yourself a 991.2 used turbo and go take an expensive vacation.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Rasta997Turbo Please keep in mind that the vehicle has PPF like mentioned prior. This will give higher readings due to the film.

@Mercyhealth Nothing to hide here. When the request was made we were closed and did not have pictures of the undercarriage readily available. We are currently working on getting these uploaded asap.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Jahan We are working on getting them uploaded at the moment

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Good morning guys, we are currently working on getting undercarriage pictures taken at the moment and trying to have source a paint meter locally to get the readings for everyone. undercarriage pictures will be up in the next half hour.

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Chris_Andersen completely agree with you. As a seller myself always amazes me that the level of interrogation for air cooled models goes at a very low bar. If this was a 996-991 the seller would be outed and reprimanded. Oh but I forgot this is a 964. Don’t you dare ask any questions. Buyer beware!

  • Chris_Andersen (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

It has now been 3 days since I asked for paint meter readings here and via DM and have still not received anything. I was told they would be provided after giving a little tutorial on how paint meters work (Which as a dealer in possession of a car like this, I am pretty sure you already know.) It seems the same level of responsiveness is happening for the requests for undercarriage photos. In kicking the can down the road to auction close by avoiding answering the questions being asked, I think you have basically answered them for us.

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porsche964993 sweet car YES rare car Maybe. According to 911 Datafile production numbers of the 964 3.6 turbo was 1437. This does not make this a rare one. I guess that depends on how you define rare. The 996 Turbo S had a production number 1563 which is similar. And oh yeah the gen 5 was faster and safer along with less oil consumption and definitely less rust.

Those facts don’t matter if you are an air cooled guy and believe it was total blasphemy to add water for power plant cooling. These buyers are more than happy to pay large dollars for these early gen car. So be it I’m happy for them. You be you. I’m a driver not a collector. So the fact that this may be some sort of Charizard to add to your Pokémon collection I’m delighted.

I want to know the paint readings and what the undercarriage looks like. Restore my faith in you SELLER you have about 8 hours left.

  • Porsche964993 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Sweet car and rare . Good luck to the seller ?

  • MezgerTT (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Prashant Great questions and paint meter readings should be posted; however, I think I have an explanation as to why they’re not ….. drumroll …… MIAMI …

To the seller, paint meter readings can be taken with PPF on car. Just have to subtract film thickness (usually 6 to 9 mil depending on the film used). Take a reading the door jamb in the striker area where not wrapped, and then take a reading on quarter panel adjacent to the jamb where wrapped. No mystery here. Just simple math. The key is consistency.

  • Prashant (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@wheelsboutique - Is there a challenge sharing undercarriage pictures and paint meter readings for all bidders to see?

Since you seem to be relectunt about sharing pictures/paint meter readings, can you confirm truthfully and with 100% accuracy -

    - If there is rust on any part of the body (surface paint bubbles, merged and smudged paint, surface waviness ), rust in the driver and passenger footwell, rust underneath door sills and wheel wells, around surfaces where glass meets body, and inside the trunk.
    - Can you let us know if there was any damage repair or respray done to any part of the body beside the left rear which should have been done in 2007.
    - Are there any additional mods aside from the BB exhaust? Do you have the original exhaust?
    - Is there any oil seepage from any mechanical component?
    - Picture# 61 shows some thing was screwed below the center console on the passenger side and recently removed. Was it a phone mount?

    Thank you.

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Jahan all this DMing is for the birds. Seller just has to drag and drop the images for all to see. What are they trying to hide?

  • Jahan (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Hi: I did request pictures but have not received them yet!

  • bigs964rs (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@wheelsboutique Yes I found it on photo #80. Thank you @Mercyhealth! Don’t know how I missed it.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Mercyhealth There must be a misunderstanding. We are more than happy to provide undercarriage pictures and paint meter readings at a clients request. We just asked if they can DM us so we can send those to the party requesting these details. We are welcoming anyone who would like to come in and see the car personally, as we are confident in what we are selling. We would never ask a client to fly down or come from afar to do readings not get pictures of any sort. We just want to be as open and clear as possible, if you can come and see it personally we welcome you. If you can’t come and see it personally and would like any special requests ( undercarriage pictures, paint readings etc. ) we are more than happy to provide these.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@bigs964rs @mjkridler Sorry to hear that you are having issues seeing the vin, but if you look at the carfax you can find it there clearly also. Let us know if you have any issues finding it there and we will be more than happy to assist.

  • Ricster65 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Just check out the Carfax. Looks like the car was damaged then repaired. If you look at the pictures you have some surface rust etc. this is a driver. Bid accordingly

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@bigs964rs @mjkridler Please look at picture #80. This is confirmed on Vinanalytics. 1994 911 Turbo

  • bigs964rs (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Could you please post a picture of the VIN plate? It’s impossible to read the stickers on the doors.

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@wheelsboutique So let me get this right. You are a dealer but can’t supply undercarriage pictures or paint meter readings for us. And you want potential bidders to send someone down to Miami to look at the 911. At whose expense would that be?

You are trying to sell an antique. Great it looks like a beautiful car. But literally the purpose of auction platforms like Pcarmarket is to show your pony digitally or virtually to many potential buyers. Who can not inspect the car in person. I see another RNM in the future for this one. Too many requests not enough information.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@thomasparke77 Yes, you are correct. We have requested that they remove the vehicle.

  • thomasparke77 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@wheelsboutique I'm looking at it on eBay right now.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Jahan That is correct as stated in the Carfax.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Jahan Yes, it is possible by sending me a private message directly with your email address.

  • Jahan (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

So the car had 8 previous owners?!!

  • Jahan (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Hi: I guess I can not send you my email as you requested! Can you please post the pictures for all to see?

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Jahan We would be more than happy to send you undercarriage pictures if you’d like. Please dm us your email!

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@ODK This vehicle is currently only being auctioned via PCarmarket.

  • Jahan (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Hi: Are there pictures of undercarriage that you can share.
    Thank you

  • ODK (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Why is the car listed on Chicago Motor Cars site?

  • sri 2 years, 10 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $99,360

  • sitton_w (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    hmm interesting

  • Chris_Andersen (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@wheelsboutique I would appreciate that. You can use any paint meter. Just get readings around each panel on the car like you would normally. Obviously the thicknesses will be greater because of the paint protection film. But inconsistencies from panel to panel will still be reflected. Thank you again.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Chris_Andersen Thank you for letting us know this piece of information. We welcome you to hire a private inspector who will offer this services as I am sure that it takes a special type of paint meter. We can also have the paint measured, if you can offer us the information of the meter needed to measure accurately.

  • Chris_Andersen (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@wheelsboutique FYI you can detect paint inconsistencies through PPF film. Especially when the whole car has been wrapped. Just so I am clear, you do not have access to a paint meter?

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Siress Unfortunately, a human error made at the prior owners DMV appears to have been made. As you can see from the many pictures, video, sticker under the hood & original window sticker this car is and always has been black. We invite you to come and have the vehicle professionally inspected if you'd like.

  • Siress (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@wheelsboutique I reviewed the carfax report. Have a look

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Chris_Andersen We do not have paint readings as the full vehicle has been protected by paint protection film. Interested parties are more than welcome to bring an independent inspector for a paint reading via door jambs, as these are the only parts of the vehicle which do not have this film.

  • wheelsboutique (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Siress No mileage has been logged since registered in Florida as it has been in a private collection. Not sure were you are seeing that the vehicle is grey, but the vehicle is black. We welcome any interested party to come by and check out in person.

  • Chris_Andersen (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Beautiful car seller. Do you have paint meter readings available?

  • Siress (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

It is strange that no mileage was logged each year when registered in Florida. Also, I see the car shows as Grey sometimes and Black others... Any idea why this happened?

  • SuperCarnitas 2 years, 10 monthsago
