Among the very last of the 964s, this 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 is one of only 283 Cabriolets built for North America during the model year. It comes finished in Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige and Black two-seater interior and features an optional limited-slip differential paired with its 5-speed manual gearbox. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2018 and has since undergone extensive maintenance including a full engine rebuild in 2021 and a major recent service with a new clutch, flywheel, timing chain housing gasket, and more. Showing approximately 104k miles on the odometer, this 964 is now being offered for auction by its seller on the East Coast.
This Carrera 2 is finished in Guards Red with a black cabriolet top, aero mirrors, and factory 16” C2 5-spoke wheels dressed in Yokohama S-Drive tires. Cosmetic imperfections are said to reflect typical road-going wear and the seller believes both bumpers were previously refinished. The Cashmere Beige and Black interior includes 8-way power-adjustable seats in optional supple leather upholstery. The rear seats are deleted in place of individual storage cubbies. Other features include cruise control, automatic climate control, a power-operated top, a central locking system, and an aftermarket JVC head unit paired with upgraded speakers. A new shift boot has been installed along with custom black floormats embroidered with red Porsche lettering. Some cracks are noted on the dashboard and the seller states all gauges and accessories are fully functional.
Producing up to 247 HP, the air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. The seller states the brake system was overhauled with upgraded drilled rotors, new lines, and pads. An engine rebuild was completed by Auto Surgeons of South Miami in April 2021 and a major service was performed in November 2021 including a new spoiler motor, clutch, master cylinder, flywheel, and timing chain housing gasket. The seller states that corresponding invoices are available totaling over $20k.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title (lien).

I am 100% sure the number is only 223. Every source counts incorrectly and each vin number has 60 cars too many in the overall count both US and RoW. Porsche came out in writing in their Originale book #2 stating that the first 50 vin numbers of each vin sequence were test mules and the next 10 were used for product development so all vin sequences begin with vin 061 and not 001 as previously believed. This included all C2's both tip and manual and C4 variants. We know the last vin number is 283 so 283-60 =223.

@BarryLe Hi! I just uploaded pictures of Engine overhaul receipt and recent service done. Just to clarify, listing says "major service was performed in November 2021" but this major service was actually done in November 2022 (Please check invoices provided).

@cobalt Thank you for your comment. I am not sure but I think 283 is the number including tiptronic examples and 223 the number of manual transmission C2/C4 Cabs.
Steering wheel is black, doesn't match 100% since its recently restored but looks good.

Beautiful cab. A small correction there were actually only 223 cabs imported to the US & Canada in 1994 both C2/C4. This is a common misunderstanding. The vin sequence actually started at 061 but all the known sources count from 001.
I am not sure but it appears the steering wheel is gray? Shouldn't it be black?
