One of just over 2,000 Porsche 968 Cabriolets produced for North America in total, this 1994 example comes finished in Grand Prix White over black partial leather and features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.0-liter engine. Having undergone noteworthy maintenance in recent years including replacement of the clutch and flywheel, this 968 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of California showing approximately 76k miles on the odometer.
Starting life as coupes, all open-top 968s were converted into cabriolets by ASC of Heilbronn, Germany, before returning to the Porsche factory at Stuttgart for final assembly alongside the 911 and 928. This 968 comes finished in Grand Prix White and wears matching body side moldings as well as a black convertible top that was removed and restitched in 2019. The factory 17” Cup Design wheels are fitted with colored Porsche crest center caps and were mounted with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires within the last 1k miles. Some paint chips and discoloration are noted on the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with black partial leather upholstery including matching carpets and electrically adjustable front seats. A new aftermarket Bluetooth stereo has been equipped and the footwells are lined with logo-embroidered floor mats. A new driver’s seat adjustment switch has been recently installed, the gauges were rebuilt in 2019, and the seller reports all accessories and instrumentation to be fully functional.
A 3.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine produces as much as 236 HP and 225 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transaxle. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated rotors at each corner. The clutch, flywheel, cross shaft, pressure plate bolt, exhaust gasket, and exhaust seal ring were all replaced at 73,356 miles, and the rear brakes are said to have been recently replaced as well. The seller reports a very slight power steering leak and notes the car has never required additional fluid.

@shapeskis Not certain if it was replaced when I did the clutch/flywheel and various other miscellaneous parts and fluids when I purchased it last year. Otherwise, I am not sure.

@Adoptagreatpet To be honest it looks pretty good. It's white so it hides its imperfections well. You look close at it and you will see some stains and some discoloration, but you cannot from a couple feet away, except for the plastic protective film which has weathered/yellowed.
How bad is the fad of the paint. Will it need to be repainted in your judgement. Thank you!
@Sanderson1 I do not believe so. I believe it is a lighting issue.

@MarinMotors was told it was mostly stored during that time. Zero maintenance records from that period. Records start again in 2019.
