The BMW M3 has gained fame among enthusiasts for its combination of engaging driving abilities, balanced handling, and impressive powertrain. The third generation of the M3 high-performance 3-Series debuted in 1992 with a new body style, chassis, and 6-cylinder S50 engine which offered an increase of nearly 100 HP over the second iteration of the M3. This 1995 example comes finished in Hellrot (Bright Red) over a Mulberry Nappa full leather interior and has been extensively upgraded with a Dinan S3 tune, Fikse wheels, a Dinan supercharger & throttle body, Supersprint axle-back exhaust, Bilstein coilovers, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of South Carolina with approximately 117k miles on the odometer.

This example comes finished in Hellrot (Bright Red) contrasted with black trim. The M3 differs from the standard 3 Series with distinct yet subtle styling cues including more aggressive bumpers, side skirts, and M3 badging. A set of Fikse FM10 wheels have been mounted with new Falken Azenis RT660 tires and the car has been lowered with adjustable coilovers, achieving a more aggressive stance. The seller notes slight scuffs and minor paint imperfections on the bumpers as well as a small touch-up on the driver’s side door. Additionally, a full paint correction and ceramic coating are said to have been carried out by a professional. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Mulberry Nappa leather upholstery accented with Fine Wood trim. Equipment includes a multifunction M Sport steering wheel, an electric sunroof a HiFi speaker system, air conditioning, and cruise control. The seller states one of the rear deck speakers may require replacement and the coolant level sensor intermittently reads inaccurately. All other gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.

The S50B30US 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine is rated at 240 HP from the factory and drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine has been upgraded with a Dinan supercharger and a Dinan throttle body with a supporting tune. The seller adds that the cylinder head was removed and fitted with a new head gasket along with upgraded ARP head studs. Upon reassembly, all gaskets associated with the job were replaced, including the exhaust manifold, intake manifold, valve cover gasket, and the valve cover itself with a NOS unit. All breather hoses were also replaced as well as knock sensors and the idle control valve. New spark plugs were also installed as well as a new camshaft adjuster solenoid to work with the Dr. Vanos unit. The alternator was also replaced. Additionally, the example has been fitted with a Supersprint axle-back, upgraded swaybars, and a Bilstein coilover suspension system. A host of service documentation is said to accompany the sale.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare Fikse wheel, and service documentation.

The seller would like you to know: “This is one of the very few survivor 3.0 E36 M3's out there today. Throughout this car's life it has been extremely well taken care of, and the condition of it as it sits today shows just this. I'm sure that for whatever purpose this car holds for you, whether daily driving, track driving, weekend warrior, or garage queen, you will be happy with being the caretaker of it for many years to come.”

@icantaffordthis Good morning. The previous owner passed away during this time, the car was kept climate controlled by his wife until finally coming to terms with legging it go, which is when it came to me for a refresh.

@Dkouseller Good morning. All of this was noted in the photos/walk around videos.

The Carfax service records end in 2015 with only 2000 miles added in 8-9 years. Do you have any records to show this car has been properly maintained during that time?

What’s the condition of the paint? Any blemishes of concern? Same with the interior. Any rips or significant wear on upholstery or dash?

@Intermeccanica Thanks for commenting! I have several records from the previous owner that the vehicle was assembled under, of the car making just around 300whp as you mentioned. This was done on a 93oct tune from Dinan. Of course with a changed pulley size and some additional cooling these kits have been known to produce much more.

What's the WHP in it's current configuration/tune? Is the tune for 91 or 93, etc? I'm guessing it's somewhere around 300WHP, but would be nice to see some documentation confirming the current tune and performance. Thanks!
