Produced between 1989 and 1995, the Ferrari 348 was the last V8 Ferrari sports car to have been developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari. In late 1993, the model was updated with revised styling and a more powerful 3.4-liter V8 engine. This final year example is one of 1,090 Ferrari 348 Spiders produced in total and comes finished Nero over a black leather interior. It was acquired by the current owner in 2022 and benefits from an engine-out service with new belts and seals in 2021. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this Ferrari 348 Spider is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing just over 27k miles on the odometer.

The Ferrari 348 was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and features distinctive straked side air intakes, pop-up headlamps, louvered taillights, a vented engine cover, and quad exhaust outlets. The 1993 model year update included paint-matched lower bodywork, a chrome rear prancing horse emblem, and a new front grille with additional vertical vanes. This 1995 Spider model comes finished in Nero with a matching convertible top and rides on factory 17” 5-spoke alloy wheels with yellow Ferrari emblem center caps. The seller describes the exterior to be in very good overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is lined with black carpeting and matching leather upholstery which covers the seats, door panels, center console, and dashboard. Accessories include a dogleg-pattern gated shifter with a polished aluminum gear lever, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows & door locks, analog Veglia Borletti instrument dials, and a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo paired with an amplifier and aftermarket speakers behind the seats. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are said to remain fully functional.

Up to 312 HP and 238 lb.-ft of torque comes from a Tipo F119 3.4-liter DOHC V8 quad-cam engine featuring a Bosch Motornic 2.7 engine management system. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. This chassis includes four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with ABS and a fully independent suspension with double wishbones, coil springs, Bilstein dampers, and anti-roll bars front & rear. The seller indicates an engine-out service was performed in August 2021 at 26k miles including new belts and gaskets. Under current ownership, the car also received a new fuel-sending unit, an A/C system recharge, and new tires. The seller adds that the car passed a California smog emission test in July 2023. Additionally, the axle boots have been replaced within the last 5 months and recently cleaned.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, a battery charger, service records, and a clean title.

@WRENCH.56 I have had the engine out done on my Mondial t (same drivetrain). Not that big of a deal. It adds about $750-$1000 to the service, but once the engine is out, everything is very accessible. Much easier and quicker to work on. Since you are only doing it about every 5-7 years (unless you are putting on lots of miles), you are talking about an extra $200 per year or less. If that is an issue for you, then you are considering the wrong car!!!
    Regards,
    Jerry

I've been dropping engines out the bottom since the 80s. Remember the Lumina APV.? So when I bought my 348, it was no issue. All your front drive SUVs come out the bottom to this day. You can't do a T-chain on an F-150 w/o taking the Body off the Chassis. These are Cake compared to some of the crap out there over the years. I put test-tubes on my car and the sound out the back is fantastic. Love it. GLTA

The somg certificate was uploaded in photo gallery
The smog was performed in July 15th 2023
If the winning bidder requires a new smog certificate I will have no objection to it and I will furnish a new smog certificate since I know this car has no issue passing the stringent emission test in California let alone other states

I just posted the photos of all 4 booths that were replaced two weeks ago.
In the photo gallery photo 102 shows grease splash on the lower edge of the right side of the cylinder head.
Please refer to newly posted photos showing the torn booths repaired and all the area was degreased.

If the car is driven on weekly bases even for few miles that belt service will last a very long time
But if it stays dormant garaged and not driven then the belts tend to crack
I try to drive this car at least once a week
There are many cars and coffees in Los Angeles area that I like to
    Drive the car too

These 348s are a double edged sword. They are great cars, designed and produced b/c Enzo was deeply disturbed that the Accura/Honda NSX was smoking his 328s.
The sad part is that this model, unlike the 308s and 328s, requires the engine to come out for a full service.
It’s a good selling point that a full service was recently done b/c it ain’t cheap! At least the buyer won’t have to deal with that for, I believe, another 30,000 miles or so.
Simple oil and other fluid changes do not require engine removal.
    Nice example. GLWTA!!

I looked at the car in my garage
I noticed the protective layer infrint of the car you mentioned
I purchased the car with it on it
It seems like it is holding up well
But unfortunately I can not tell you how many years ago they installed it on the car
Honestly I did not even know it was in the car until you noticed it

    @ Manos411
Thank you for your kind words .
Mechanically this car is in top shape.
I will try to post some photos of the undercarriage and the dash tomorrow.
The yellow lines you see in center console is the shrinkage of the leather. I was planing to have the center console removed and recovered by my upholstry.
As far as paint blemishes what you see I think it is a reflection of the ground onto the paint . Please specify which photo you are referring so I can address your concern
I am here to answer any questions you would have.
    Best of luck

Car looks terrific! It looks like you've been busy bringing this car to mechanical standard.
A few questions, is there PPF on the car? Looks like the front hood was trimmed around the badge. If so, when was it applied (approximate age is okay too)? Can you please take a few photos of the leather on the dash, specifically above the gauge binnacle? On the center console, can you help me to understand the yellow showing next to the gear shifter? Is that ground reflection or is there some paint missing at the lower leading edge of the front apron? Any chance you can post some pictures of the underside? Thank you.

    Hello fellow car enthusiast
I would like to inform you that this Ferrari has a lot going for itself
It had its engine out service done in august of 2021 and since I purchased it I replaced the Fuel gauge sending unit, serviced the AC, installed brand new tires(less than 100 miles on them ) and replaced the axle booths on the passenger side
    .
This vehicle passed the California emission control August of 2023.
I am here ti answer any questions you would have about this car.
    Best of luck
