Introduced in 1992 as Ferrari’s premier front-engine V12 grand touring car, the Ferrari 456 was among the fastest production four-seater automobiles in the world, second only to the Porsche 959 supercar. It features aluminum Pininfarina-designed bodywork over a tubular steel spaceframe which houses a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V12 engine producing 436 HP. This 1995 example comes finished in Rosso Mugello over tan Connolly leather and is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. Originally sold in Illinois before spending time in California and Texas, this Ferrari is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing approximately 41k miles on the odometer.
This 456 GT is one of 1,435 examples with bodywork built by Pininfarina before production was moved to Ferrari in 1996. The car features aluminum body panels, a one-piece composite bonnet, pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, front fender vents, and polished quad exhaust tips. This example is finished in Rosso Mugello and rides on silver 17” five-spoke alloy wheels dressed in Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The seller describes the exterior to be in excellent original condition and notes a full paint correction was recently performed along with an application of ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing a rebuilt/salvage title issued in 2005. A Lemon Squad report is also provided that indicates the rubber seals show signs of age, a coating has been applied to the undercarriage, and the left side mirror trim is broken.
The cabin is appointed with tan Connolly leather and matching carpets contrasted by a black leather dashboard, upper door panels, and a four-spoke steering wheel. Details include silver Ferrari logo door sills, Ferrari emblems on the headrests, a gated shifter with a polished gear knob, and analog Veglia Borletti instrumentation. The car is also equipped with power adjustable seats, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, and an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo. The seller notes the cabin was professionally detailed in preparation for sale along with service of the A/C system. The Lemon Squad Report indicates the A/C is not blowing as cold as it should be and some wear is present on the seats and trim pieces.
This Ferrari is powered by an all-aluminum 5.5-liter F116 V12 DOHC engine with four valves per cylinder, dry sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic fuel injection. Up to 436 HP and 406 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The chassis includes self-adjusting dampers and self-leveling rear suspension as well as four-piston brake calipers with ventilated discs at each corner. The Lemon Squad report indicates the steering alignment was slightly off and some minor oil seepage is present on the engine.

I have no interest in getting into an argument as I have not seen the car, merely to provide a historical photo in my possession to curious parties. The quality of the work appears very good in the photos (as you mentioned) and in the earlier photos I have seen. I appreciate that you took much more time and money properly dressing the car for the sale compared to when the earlier photos were taken. There was a bit too much that was ramshackle for me at that time and it is MUCH better presented now. Credit where credit is due. Best of luck on your auction!
@yudkib Good morning, to add our comments on this, we did a deep and extensive inspection of this vehicle including the undercarriage and every possible panel and detail and there is not a single point where you can see a different paint color on the car.
Also, an external PPI was realized and there were no comments about any area with a different color.
While the paint sticker is unfortunately no longer on the car, it's our opinion that this car didn't have the color changed due to the lack of any single detail that my indicate that.

I am familiar with this car and gave some thought to putting it through the paces when it was with a different seller a month ago. I decided not to proceed in part because the OEM paint sticker (which was still affixed at the time) read that it was Blue Swaters Metallic. This obviously suggests the car underwent a full respray in the current red at some point in its life. Details here:

@Niteroi I was trying to differentiate the Rosso Barchetta and Mugello doing an online search and they look really similar, once again I can't be 100% but I'll keep looking into this.
While the Carfax does not specify which part of the car was involved in the accident, doing paint readings the only area where there seems to be some bondo is the left rear fender close to the trunk. Other than that readings seem normal all around the car.
It looks like rosso barchetta on the outdoor pics, but not in the videos where it looks much darker.
Did paint measurements give you any hint on where and how big the damage was?
@Niteroi I was doing some quick research on this and I can't be 100% sure about the name of the color without color tag, which seems not be any where visible on this car unfortunately.
What I can say for sure about the color is that it's not the traditional ''Ferrari red'', this is more towards Burgundy.
I believe rosso mugello is a newer color and Ferrari wasn’t using it in 1995. I’ve had two rosso barchetta Ferraris, a 456 and a 355. It was a color they used back then. Either way it’s a beautiful color.
Do you have any more info on the accident that gave the 456 a salvage title?
