The Jaguar XJS was intended to replace the legendary E-Type and saw a 21-year production run from 1975 to 1996. This 1995 Convertible is equipped with a 4.0-liter AJ16 engine, a significant revision to the AJ6 engines that were used for the final generation XJS models. It comes finished in Champagne with a brown convertible soft top over a tan leather interior and is said to have been cared for by the same family since 1997. Accompanied by service records dating back to 16k miles, this lifelong California car is now being offered for auction while showing under 100k miles on the odometer.
This XJS is finished in Champagne and complemented with a brown power-operated convertible soft top. Details include a Jaguar growler hood ornament, Jaguar-emblemized front fenders, fog lights, a telescoping antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on 16” five-spoke alloy wheels dressed in Michelin Premier A/S tires from 2015. The seller notes some cosmetic damage on the driver’s side lower front spoiler. The CARFAX report shows a minor damage report that includes the right rear and rear sections, which occurred in 2015. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior is upholstered in tan leather accented by grey carpeting and wood veneer trim along the dashboard, upper door panels, and center console. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, power windows, air conditioning, a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, and cruise control. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
This XJS is powered by an AJ16 4.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with coil-on-plug ignition that was factory-rated at 237 HP and 282 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes equipped at all four corners. A recent pre-purchase inspection by an independent Jaguar repair facility noted the heater is not working and suggested a heater valve replacement, the rear wheel bearings have excessive play, and hood struts are recommended for replacement.
This sale will include a clean title and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a Northern California rust-free car since new. Executive owned and comprehensively maintained this six-cylinder Jaguar has elegant lines and a timeless style The car was the owner's pride and joy until his passing. His wife asked me to try and find someone who would really love the car as it was part of their family for 27 years.”

Hello Mecan me crazy
Thank you for your interest
The car runs and drives nicely. It has passed California emissions and our safety inspection so I believe that it would drive without any problems on a road trip. The long time mechanic for the car noted on a recent invoice that improper A/C and heater operation is likely due to heater valve needing to be replaced. We have not verified this diagnosis but that shop is a recognized Jaguar expert in our area so I should think it’s likely correct
Can you share the paperwork / report from
the Jaguar repair facility? Curious what they are asking for the heater valve replacement
Any issues that might keep it from being taken (comfortably) on a little roadtrip?
