This 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 300TDi was imported from the United Kingdom to New York in 2019. Since then, it has been extensively restored as a tribute to the 2015 final year “HUE166” Heritage Edition Defender, which was not available in the U.S. Details include a Grasmere Green vinyl wrap, a Heritage-style front grille & wheels, interior upgrades, and more. This righthand drive Defender 90 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with approximately 163k miles on the odometer.
This short wheelbase Defender comes finished in a shade of dark green and wears a Grasmere Green vinyl wrap. Details include a Heritage-style grille, color-matched fender flares, silver-finished bumpers, and full exterior LED lighting. It rides on Heritage-style Wolf wheels mounted with Goodyear Wrangler tires. The seller notes some small areas of surface rust. The cabin features upgraded front bucket seats and rear inward-facing bench seating upholstered in black vinyl along with a custom center console cover and matching door panels. Features include a sunroof, roll-up windows, center console storage, and rubber floor mats. Modifications consist of an Alpine head unit with Bluetooth connectivity, 4 speakers with an amplifier, and an upgraded instrument panel surround.
Power comes from a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline four-cylinder engine. The rear or all four wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller adds that heavy-duty steering rods have been installed and replacements have been made to the thermostat, intercooler, radiator, coolant hoses, hood cable, and 300TDi cylinder head. Additionally, a factory-style exhaust was recently fitted. Regular service is said to have been performed, and no outstanding maintenance items are reported. A host of service documentation is said to accompany the sale.

Also, I wanted to add that this 300TDi D90 paired with the 5 speed manual allows it to effortlessly cruise at 70mph on the highway. I have done several multi-hour trips in it with 100% reliability. It also starts up every single time and is perfect for a quick trip into town or even keeping at a 2nd home and driving with long periods in between.
