Available for auction is this 1995 Land Rover Range Rover County finished in bronze over a tan leather interior. Representing the final model year of the classic Range Rover body style, this County Long Wheel Base (LWB) 1995 example is equipped with the larger 4.2L V8 engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It features upgraded headlamps, roof-mounted crossbars, lifted suspension, and a set of Falken mud-terrain tires. This Range Rover is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut showing approximately 178k miles on the odometer.

This Range Rover comes finished in a bronze paint color with contrasting black accents on the hood, roof, and lower body. Several scratches and imperfections are present throughout the exterior as well as some corrosion on the rear hatch. Equipment includes upgraded headlights, a receiver hitch, a split rear tailgate with a window wiper, and 16” Cyclone-design alloy wheels dressed in Falken mud-terrain tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin is trimmed in tan leather with wood accents on the center console, dash, and door panels. Air conditioning comes equipped from the factory and an aftermarket JVC radio has been installed. Imperfections include considerable amounts of wear on the seats, cracks in the wood trim, and a sagging headliner.

Power comes from a 4.2L V8 which was rated at up to 200 HP and 251 lb-ft of torque when new. All four wheels are driven by way of a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The suspension has been raised using aftermarket components. The seller states the vehicle was regularly serviced under prior ownership and has required no additional maintenance under their care during the past 1k miles.

This sale will include a transferable Connecticut registration and a bill of sale.

@gimmegimme I’m sorry but I’m not home to check. I think tires are 35’s

  • gimmegimme 2 years, 2 monthsago

This is late in the game but what are the size and age of the tires? Does the spare match?

  • tschwalbe (registered bidder) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@cannino alrighty then.. guess the moment of truth will be upon us soon. Maybe I'll grab a seat at the table? If not, GL and have fun on your trip.

@tschwalbe As I said the all wheel drive is fully functional with no issues. I bought the truck off of a guy who had it shipped out from Kansas. That is all the history I have. I purchased the the with the intent to keep it long term but my plans no longer support me keeping the Range Rover. As far as I know the paint is original with the exception of the passenger side fender.

  • tschwalbe (registered bidder) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@cannino thanks for more info. Looks like you took the truck 'wheeling' at least once so can you confirm that the 4 wheel drive works in both hi and low properly? No odd noises or problems getting in and out of low? Original paint or has it been redone over the years and possibly rust repaired? How did you acquire the truck, seems odd that there is no back story whatsoever... did you buy just to have some fun and flip before splitting?

  • cannino (seller) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@tschwalbe I’m selling the truck because I plan on taking a trip to Europe after I graduate in May and I would rather not see the truck sit. She has treated me well and I would trust her on the highway for 2k miles at 70 mph. I have enjoyed owning the Range Rover but it’s not the right time for me to have a vehicle like this.

  • tschwalbe (registered bidder) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@cannino thanks for that info. I, like 99% of other potential buyers are not local to you, thus why more details and better images / videos are always helpful. I'm not trying to belittle you or the truck, it very well could be a gem at the right #? So then why are you selling it after 1000 miles and just checking the fluids? Based on your 1000 miles logged, would you gamble driving it 2k on the roads? How does it do at 70 mph on the hwy?

  • cannino (seller) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@tschwalbe I regularly check fluids on all my vehicles and have never had any oil consumption issues with the truck. She does not use any coolant either. The engine does not smoke and the brakes are at 50% pad life . 4x4 , alignment and transmission are also in good working order. If you had contacted me earlier I would have had you come look at the truck in person.

  • tschwalbe (registered bidder) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@cannino So just to be clear, You have done nothing to service this vehicle, you know nothing about its history and can only tell us "it appears to have been well maintained based on its excellent condition" oh, and that you drove it for 1000 miles. Did you check the oil? Does it smoke upon starting? Smoke while driving? How are the brakes? Aligned and drives straight?Transmission shifts well? Four wheel drive confirmed works?

  • cannino (seller) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@tschwalbe although there are no service records with the vehicle it is apparent that the truck has been maintained based on its excellent condition. If you have any specific concerns I would be happy to address them.

@cannino How do we know that the vehicle was regularly serviced with no records or CarFax to support? This auction is like going to a casino with a bid... yes we've had a week to ask questions but really, so much more could have been provided and explained in the auction details and with better images, videos and documentation. I feel like i'm on FB or Craigslist with this listing. Roulette anyone?

  • cannino (seller) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@signalMTB I can post some pictures tomorrow. Windows and seats work. I have owned the truck for 1 year and I don’t know if the head gaskets have been replaced. Ct does not title vehicles more than 25 years old but the ct registration is accepted as a title in all states.

  • signalMTB (registered bidder) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@cannino can you post pics of the rear door arches (top and bottom)? Pics of the rear cross member and bulkhead would be great. Seats and windows work? Any knowledge of head gaskets being done? Says will come with transferable registration, assume there’s no title? How long have you owned it?

  • cannino (seller) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@signalMTB With the exception of the small spot pictured on the tailgate the vehicle is clean .

  • signalMTB (registered bidder) 2 years, 2 monthsago

Can the seller please comment on the rust/corrosion situation?

  • cannino (seller) 2 years, 2 monthsago

@Markwalters the oil you see is power steering fluid that is there from a leak that I had repaired this fall. The engine is in good shape and has no active leaks. I don’t know if the systems are inactive. All I know is that the lights are on.

  • Markwalters (registered bidder) 2 years, 2 monthsago

Any issues with the engine? the underneath pictures look as if there has been, or is oil leaking. the bottom oil pan and suspension looked covered?
The video shows three lights aluminated while running, Traction control, Antilock brakes (ABS) and Airbags (SRS). Is it correct to assume these three functions do not operate?
