We are pleased to offer this incredibly rare 1995 Mercedes-Benz R129 SL 320 Mille Miglia Edition. Sporting a traditional Brilliant Silver Metallic finish over a special red and black leather interior, this limited-edition SL commemorates the 40th anniversary of Stirling Moss's win at the 1955 Mille Miglia road race. Production numbers for this car vary, although it is believed that as few as 10 examples were ever built, with the first model presented as a gift to Sir Stirling Moss himself. Easily one of the rarest and most collectible R129’s of all time, this Mille Miglia Edition is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Italy while showing approximately 59k kilometers (36,600 miles) on the odometer.
This SL is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic and features special checked flag patterns on the side air vents. This model was also factory equipped with unique Evo II six-spoke polished alloy wheels. The original painted hardtop will be included, and some cosmetic imperfections are depicted in the photo gallery. This example rides on a set of Goodyear tires showing date codes from 2020.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in red and black leather with decorative two-tone carbon fiber trim and red deviated stitching on the seats and steering wheel. The interior is shown to have been very well preserved aside from a crack depicted on the center console trim. The original radio remains in place and other factory features include heated and power operated seats, automatic air conditioning, stainless steel door sill plates, red-bordered floormats, and a power-operated convertible top.
This SL 320 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.2L inline-six engine that sends 229 HP and 232 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. A full service is said to have been recently carried out in preparation for sale and a 2020 invoice from a Mercedes-Benz dealer is provided in the photo gallery.
This sale will include a clean title, a set of two keys, original owner’s manuals, the factory-painted hardtop, and an official correspondence from Mercedes-Benz confirming the mileage and VIN number of the car. For any collector of vintage European automobiles, this rare R129 is not to be overlooked.

@Vlad600sel Never saw one!
Might also be a nice one.
Ma cuesta e una Mille Miglia !! Capisce?
E ancora piu importante.
Like Sophia Loren o Marcello Mastroiani. Unique!

My buddy has a 129 Indianapolis edition witch a lot of people don’t know about it
@Principe All corrects!!! Consider that in Europe there is only one for sale with similar mileage and the claim is over $ 47,000. My reserve is much lower to help the buyer with import charges
@Youngtimer_cars I definitely agree 100%
But European price is almost double than here
I would love to own this car
If u don’t sell maybe I visit Rome this year and check it out
Good luck
This body is way more suitable for the Straight 6 cylinders DOHC Cam.
The weight balance is more accurate and proper.
Finally the handling is superior because of the response and handling.
On Top of that this car is a very particular Limited Edition.
Importing the car including shipping and duties is around $4000.00 Dollars.
Believe me I did the homework already.
I do have the Quote too including everything.
Good luck!!
@Vlad600sel this car is for a collector who want a unique car. SL 500 or 600 are thousands...
Beautiful car but I think won’t sell for some one in USA because prices in Europe are way more than here for sl s and we like V8 with more power but maybe some one will get it because is a collectible

@Principe Civitavecchia is nearest commerial port
What's the closest International Port for Freight?
Civitavechia or Anzio? Or any other further?
@Kmck We have not indicated anything about the transport because the costs vary according to the location, the type of transport and the container chosen.
Normally it is the buyer who takes care of everything but we are available to support you with contacts and documents in Italy.
Interesting that no one has mention anything about freight ? What does it cost to get it to US ?
