Up for auction is this nicely-appointed 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet 6-speed. Offering an open-air driving experience coupled with visceral air-cooled power, this Carrera represents the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to get behind the wheel of a classic 911. Having spent most of its life in Michigan, this 3-owner example currently resides in Pennsylvania with approximately 60k miles showing on the odometer.
This Cabriolet is finished in Grand Prix White and shows to be in excellent condition. The seller states that this Carrera seems to have always been kept out of snow and harsh driving conditions. Features include a power operated cabriolet top and a distinctive “basket handle” rear spoiler. This Carrera rides on factory 17” wheels which are stated to be in excellent condition.
This 993’s cabin is finished in Midnight Blue leather. The interior is said to be in great shape with the only modifications consisting of an upgraded Continental TR7412UB-OR radio as well as a hardwired battery tender for convenience. The seller confirms that the original Becker Porsche CR-1 radio and CD player will be included in the sale. Touting an original sticker price of over $76k, this 993’s build sheet reads as follows:
The air conditioning system is reported to be fully functional along with all gauges, electrical components and accessories.
This Carrera is equipped with an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine rated at 272 HP and 243 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a smooth 6-speed manual transmission making for a factory claimed 0-60 time of approximately 5.4 seconds. This 993 is reported to be in excellent driving condition. Prior to listing on PCARMARKET, the seller had it in to a local technician who reported minor leaks on the lower valve covers, timing chain covers and power steering boot. A copy of this report is in the gallery photos. The seller will include all parts necessary to perform its next due 60k mile service. Records from 1995-2003 are included in the sale along with a stamped Porsche service book.
Marking the final iteration of the air-cooled 911, the 993 generation holds a truly special place in Porsche history.
The sale of this 993 Cabriolet will include original books and documentation, an original window sticker, factory radio components, several spare parts, 2 sets of keys, and service records. This vehicle is accompanied by a clean Carfax report as well as a clear title. A beautifully configured example, this 993 Cabriolet is just waiting to be enjoyed out on the open road.

@Love2bugs Hello, just an FYI, the VIN is in the gray information box at the top right of all of our listings. Hope this is helpful.
@jefrank Thanks! The wheels are certainly unique. I was surprised to learn they were OEM.
Less than 1 hour left! Let me know if you have any questions, bidders. Reminder that the car sells with window sticker, manual, stamped service book, 2 keys, wind deflector, canvas boot cover for the convertible top, spare tire, original radio and CD changer, and all parts for the 60k service and lower valve cover gasket repair.
Happy bidding!
Beautiful car, worth every penny and a lot more. I have the same car, nearly same mileage, same color in a C4. Only apparent difference is the wheels. Good luck to the seller on this.

One day left! It isn't shown in the photos, but I will also be including the OEM wind deflector with sale. Please let me know if you have any questions, and happy bidding!
@Love2bugs Sorry, but I don't have a record of when the brake fluid was last flushed. I'd be happy to get a body shop to check for rust, but I don't think I can get it done in the next 24 hours before the auction ends. I personally don't see any signs and you can get a look for yourself in the photos that I have added.
@Love2bugs Pads and rotors were replaced in 2007 by the previous owner. I don't have thickness measurements for you, but I added a photo so you can see condition. There is a good amount of pad material left and the rotors look flat. The brakes bite well and under hard braking the car tracks straight.
@Love2bugs I'm glad you like the wheels! Yes, they are stock Porsche Sport Classic II wheels. The window sticker that I'm including with sale shows this was a factory option selected by the original buyer.
Hi Bzilla
Are those fantastic looking wheels stock Porsche wheels ?
Thanks
Dennis aka Love 2 Bugs
Happy 2020
What is the status of the E and front and rear brakes? When was the brake
fluid flushed ? Can an independent body shop check the car for rust?
Thanks
Dennis

Thanks for the bids and questions everyone! Added a bunch of photos today (more interior details, paint meter, underbody). Please let me know if you would like to see anything else or have additional questions. Happy bidding!
@voodooboy Underbody and wheel arch photos added!
@orclean1 Paint meter, cold start, and bumper photos added. The roads are very salty and covered with cinders right now, so I didn’t want to take it out for a drive in these conditions. If they clear up soon, I’ll try to get it out.
@Love2bugs Car is currently in Hollidaysburg, PA (previously Pittsburgh). Happy to work with a transporter, or help you load it onto your 997’s trailer ;)
Happy 2020 fellow 911ophile;
What city is the car located in?
I have a toe hitch on my 2012 997.2

Cold start video added. It was about 45 degrees out so there is some visible condensation in the exhaust, but no blue smoke.
Paint meter photos coming soon. I measured all of the panels today and it looks like all original paint on the body (between 3 to 6 mild). I do believe the rear bumper was repainted though.
I’ll have undercarriage photos tomorrow. Let me know if you want to see anything else!
@BlueTTop Yes, to me it looks like the rear bumper was repainted and there is a small streak in the paint
What are we looking at in picture #44?
Is it a “drip-line” in the paint?
@voodooboy Sure thing. I don't believe it was ever driven in salt / snow, but I'll get you some photos to help confirm. I don't have easy access to a lift, but I'll get it on jack stands and get some shots for you soon.
@orclean1 Yep, I bid on it. I had a hard limit of <$40K on that given lack of more detail. Happy it sold for more, and hope the new owner feels it’s worth what was paid
@voodooboy did u see 95 white convertible that sold for 43500 ? I saw it in person and it wasnt a 10 more a 7 cosmetically. mechanically dont know since they wouldnt let me test drive it .
MI/PA car. Pictures of the undercarriage please.
@orclean1 No problem! I’ll get the photos / videos in the next 1-2 days. I don’t know if the bushings were replaced, but the car drives solid and tracks straight. No wheel vibration that I can feel.
please provide the following
paint meter photos
cold start
test drive
closeup pics of top front bumper and hood
have you replaced lower control arm bushing ,when bad the front tires feel as if they need balancing
