This 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera 2 Coupe has been converted into a race car with a GT2-style body kit, a full roll cage, KMR adjustable coilovers, and an upgraded Fabspeed exhaust system with headers. It is accompanied by a clean title and is said to be eligible for street-legal registration. Reported to have been driven approximately 30 hours on the track since its 3.6-liter engine was last rebuilt, this 993 race car is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing approximately 22k miles on the odometer.

Finished in white, this 993 Carrera Coupe has been fitted with a full GT2-inspired fiberglass body kit including bolt-on fender flares, side skirts, an Evo-style front bumper, a sunroof delete roof panel, and a fixed rear wing with integrated air intakes. Lightweight fiberglass doors have been installed and the original steel doors are said to accompany the sale. The car rides on 18” Fikse 3-piece wheels dressed in Hoosier racing tires and an additional set of gold BBS 3-piece wheels is said to be included as well. The seller describes the exterior to be in very good overall condition with minimal imperfections present, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing an accident to have occurred in 2002.

The cabin has been stripped for weight savings and outfitted with a full roll cage along with a Recaro racing seat, a Sabelt safety harness, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, a FABCAR shifter, and a fire extinguisher. The seller indicates the seat and safety harness are expired for racing use and all gauges and electronics are functioning properly.

The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine has been upgraded with Fabspeed headers and exhaust pipes. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The suspension has been upgraded with KMR adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs as well as adjustable camber plates. The seller indicates the engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago and the car has seen approximately 30 hours of track use since.

This sale will be on a bill of sale

The seller would like you to know:The car can be converted to street legal, the title is in hand. Included with the sale are the original steel doors, and a better/much nicer set of gold BBS three-piece wheels. Since the car hasn’t been tracked in nearly 10 years, it would have to be teched and fitted with a new seat and safety harness. The owner of the car owns an auto body shop, and the car has been stored indoors throughout his ownership. It is well-maintained, adult-owned, and driven by a Porsche enthusiast. The car starts up and runs great, no maintenance issues.”

@Flsupraguy thank you for pointing that out, the listing has been updated to reflect that this is being sold on a bill of sale.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

I will include the title. But I am selling selling the car on a bill of sale. PCAR Market considers the title “Not-Valid.”

Bid in the amount of $41,000

  • PCARMARKET 7 months, 3 weeksago

the title status of this car is labeled as "bill of sale only"

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

    @lennyloftin Correct

  • redgard (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

So this car has had seven owners correct? The current one wouldn't be shown on the car fax because he never transferred title.
The title when / if its found would have been signed/ dated by owner #6 at the time of that sale which was 10+ years ago? All the work on the car and its race car conversion was done by owner #7? Did he do all the work himself, since apparently there are no records?

  • lennyloftin (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

Will it be signed over from the previous owner?

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@gerardandre thank you for confirming. Some states may still give trouble transferring the title depending on the amount of time he had the vehicle. Regardless, best of luck with the auction.

  • Rdlestrvled (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

All the pics show the deck lid open does it shut flush with body

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@Flsupraguy The title is not in his name, it is in the name of the previous owner. It will be signed over to the buyer with no lien attached. The current owner purchased the car and never registered it because he used it for the track only. Therefore it is still in the name of the previous owner. The title is transferable.

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

Thank you @gerardAndre To confirm, the title WILL be in the sellers name and will be signed over to the buyer with no lien attached correct?

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@Flsupraguy Yes, I was in the process of replying that I had explained it in a few comments below. To further answer your question…Yes, the title can be transferred over as is.

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@GerardAndre "Current owner of the car never registered it, being it is a race car and he used it for that reason only. Never has driven it on the street or went about getting plates on the car. Previous owner was located in North Carolina, correct, which is displayed on the CarFax. Current owner is the owner of the car and has the title, but not in his name since. He built it as a purpose race car, full cage, suspension, everything about it. Current owner just has to locate the title, but he has it." So it sounds like the seller never paid to transfer the title from the prior owner to his name? In this event, is the title at least signed over? (open title).

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

? The listing says " It is accompanied by a clean title and is said to be eligible for street-legal registration." and "The car can be converted to street legal, the title is in hand. "????????????????

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

    @GerardAndre ty

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@prmnorton1 I don't have any driving videos unfortunately, while I was taking photos and videos I was not able to take it on the street for that video, due to no plates, or else I certainly would have recorded that.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@prmnorton1 Current owner of the car never registered it, being it is a race car and he used it for that reason only. Never has driven it on the street or went about getting plates on the car. • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@prmnorton1 Motor has been swapped and was rebuilt. It is not the original motor to this car. See image #106, where the current engine milage is displayed. 21,851mi. That is what is currently on the motor, not the chassis.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@Desmo The car is painted white, now a wrap. It was done very nicely and meticulously.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@prmnorton1 Car will come with a Bill Of Sale. And, the title can either be included with the sale or WILL be obtained after the sale. Waiting on the status once the owner is back in the US. But, the buyer of this car will eventually get a title one way or another.

  • Desmo (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

Original color was silver, correct? Is it painted or wrapped now?

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

The last title registration in North Carolina, so I guess just want to make sure that this gentleman is actually the current owner of the car being that there is no title how do we confirm that? ty

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

Are you able to post any type of driving video? Thank you.

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

So as far as the Carfax, it looks like the car had 121,000 miles on it in 2007, but the ad states 21,000 miles so just confirming is this the original motor or has the motor been swapped?

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@GerardAndre OK thanks for the insight, so the car has no title?

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

Hello all, as you can see, the title status has been changed to "Bill Of Sale." The owner of the car provided me with the wrong title originally and is now overseas on a trip, when he returns we will locate it. The title can either be included with the sale or WILL be obtained. But, understand this is a race car, and is being sold as one with a bill of sale. The updated CarFax has now been displayed as well, thank you to the PCAR staff. My apologies for the confusion and to any current bidders.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@burnrubr 993 transmission and an upgraded clutch and shifter.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@redgard Yes, the interior of the front trunk is silver. The roof is steel.

  • burnrubr (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

is the transmission and clutch factory stock 993?

  • redgard (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

is it just the lighting or is the interior of the front trunk silver? Also is the entire roof fiberglass?

  • prmnorton1 7 months, 4 weeksago

Bid in the amount of $40,000

  • burnrubr (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@GerardAndre thanks, can your shop do the work of re installing the doors with functional windows and maybe a passenger seat? i won't need an interior, lastly can your shop also do all the fluids? (oil, coolant, brakes, and trans) of course for a fee if ever i ended with the car?

  • burnrubr 7 months, 4 weeksago

Bid in the amount of $15,000

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@prmnorton1 See image #54, that is a estimate of when it was last tracked / driven. Also, image #94 & #96, you can faintly see the recaro seat is dated 2008.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@prmnorton1 Uploaded! Thanks to the PCAR Staff :)

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@prmnorton1 Wasn't a big hit, it was cosmetic, no structural damage. I believe it was hit in the front right side, before my ownership.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@prmnorton1 Turn signals, wipers, front headlights, and rear brake lights are all functioning. Very easily you can convert to street legal. I currently do not have plates on the car since it has always been a track car only.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@burnrubr Car can be converted to drive on the street, certainly. Needs tires and proper alignment. Car has no interior currently... Car has fiberglass doors with no windows currently, i do have steel doors with side windows if you do choose to convert it. Estimated cost comes down to what you would like to do, and how street legal you'd want to make it. Put an interior in the car, A/C, change doors, wheels & tires, alignment / suspension, hard to estimate a price on the conversion.

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@GerardAndre got it thank you, so the car has been sitting for about 10 years? Is that correct? It has not been driven at all in 10 years? Just want to confirm, Ty

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@burnrubr WHP is roughly 340hp-350hp... The weight is roughly 2,600 pounds

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@prmnorton1 The car currently does not have side windows (fiberglass doors) but the additional / original steel doors that I have do have side windows. The front windshield is glass, same as the rear, they are not plexi glass. Also, I just uploaded images of the underneath the car, waiting for them to be displayed on the listing. The transmission has been done along with the motor. No, there is no service records with the car.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@prmnorton1 I will get these uploaded for you asap.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@redgard Correct, the rust / patina on the brake roters would indicate the car hasn’t been driven in the recent past. It has been sitting since the last track use (around 10 years ago). No recent leak down numbers on the motor.

  • PCARMARKET 7 months, 4 weeksago

Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@Flsupraguy Rear Deck-lid and Front Trunk were propped open during the photos. That answers why they appear that way. My apologies for the confusion.

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

Also, do you have any information on the accident? It looks like it hit a tree just wondering the extent of the damage if it was the front or the rear? and had this car been serviced since the end of the Carfax in 2008, last report was in 2008. So just curious if it’s been sitting since then Thanks.

  • burnrubr (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

what does it need to be legally street driven and approximate cost to do so and can your shop do it?

  • redgard (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

@redgard *rust / patina on the brake rotors..

  • redgard (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

The Rust / patina would indicate the car hasn’t been driven much in the recent past. Was it just sitting since the last track use? Also do you have recent leak down numbers on the motor?

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

Can you provide driving video and start up and walk around please

  • burnrubr (registered bidder) 7 months, 4 weeksago

best guesstimate wet weight and whp?

  • collectorcars 7 months, 4 weeksago

Bid in the amount of $5,000

  • Pcars (registered bidder) 8 monthsago

Can you please provide insight into the technical aspect of the engine build and the current setup of the chassis?

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 8 monthsago

Just to confirm, the car is not currently street legal? so do any of the front headlights or brake lights work? turn signals?

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 8 monthsago

Does the car have side windows? Is the front windshield and the rear made a made of glass or a plexi glass? Also, can you post some pictures of underneath the car please? Is this the original transmission or has it been done along with the motor? Do we have any records with this car? Thank you.

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 8 monthsago

Can you please post pics of the oem doors and other wheels that are included? It appears the rear decklid doesnt sit flush or was it left propped open? It appears the front hood doesnt fit properly against the bumper?

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 8 monthsago

    Only 21,851 chassis miles?
