Up for auction is this highly-optioned 6-Speed Porsche 993 Carrera 4 Coupe.  Finished in Polar Silver with a classic gray leather interior, this 993 was originally sold new in CT, eventually finding its way to its current owner in 2006.  Previously listed on PCARMARKET nine months ago, this 993 has since been stored in a climate controlled facility and is now being offered by the seller in excellent condition out of Sea Cliff, NY.

There are no signs of accidents or previous damage, which is supported by the Carfax report. The car presents itself as a very honest and original example, still retaining its original stone guards. There are a few scratches noted on the rear bumper as well as some chips on the front bumper, which is to be expected on a vehicle of this age and mileage.  The seller did an excellent job in providing a comprehensive photo gallery, showing the true condition of this 993. The desirable rear window wiper and large oval exhaust pipes are nice touches rarely seen on 993 coupe models.

The gray interior is in excellent condition and features factory sport seats, silver gauges, aluminum door sills and carbon accents; setting this example apart from other 993s.

This 993 retains its original normally-aspirated flax-six engine delivering power to all-four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that the car was taken to a local independent Porsche specialist on an annual basis for routine maintenance. The car is stated to be in excellent running and driving condition.  A driving video is available for viewing in the gallery.

The 993 is a very special Porsche for many reasons, however, it gets the most notoriety for being the very last air-cooled 911 produced.  The Carrera 4 model has a few small visual details to help differentiate it from the C2 including a shorter shifter with a titanium shifter plate, silver painted calipers, and “Carrera 4” script embossed on the center caps.

This car includes a clean Carfax, two keys, books, and recent service records.

@Mrosilio the last services performed was an oil change at 63k and a transmission (and I believe diff) at 62k. As always, when I am at my mechanic he goes over the car and if anything stands out I have it addressed.

  • brucege39 (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@Mrosilio no worries, I will try to get a scan of the records up.

  • brucege39 (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@Bigwood it is an immobilizer. However, I had it permanently linked to the ECU as a preventative because I know many people who have been left stuck due to a failure. The fob still locks and unlocks the doors as it did from the factory.

  • Mrosilio (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Sorry - Missed the driving videos above. Was expecting to see them in the photo gallery.

  • Mrosilio (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

    Hey,

Would you be able to post detailed photos of the service records?
Has the 60k service been done yet?
Is the ac functioning and has it been converted/upgraded?

Might be a bit late for a driving video considering it's raining in NY today, but photo of the undercarriage if possible?

    Thank you!

Seller, the fob hanging off the key, is that for a aftermarket alarm or is that the Porsche immobilizer? Thanks!

Once I installed chrome ovals courtesy of Gert Carnewal circa 2005, I thought, "it's finally complete!" Great looking 4 - GLWA.

    (I was wrong, of course.)

@brucege39 Ok, thank you sir. I’m going to have a better look at the regulations, but I know all stock is ideal. Regards.

  • brucege39 (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@Lbesier hello, I am not familiar with the regulations involved, however, the car has no issues with it physically or mechanically that I would foresee as an issue. It is completely stock, unmodified, OEM as it left the factory.

@brucege39 good evening sir. Just bid on the car...no issues whatsoever that would prevent it from passing an out of country inspection? I Live on Vancouver island. On the west coast of Canada.

@orclean1 roof is a tad higher than the rest of the car but I feel it is original. Let’s not for these were the last of the hand made Porsche vehicles. I have owned this car for a very long time and never had any paint work done. In addition, there is no evidence that would lead me to believe that it was either. The color is perfect as well as the consistency with the rest of the car. Hope this helps.

  • orclean1 (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Paint meter results all look acceptable with the exception of measurements of roof ??

@BlueTTop that was only very early 95 models. All later cars had the high mounted light until the end of production in 1998. Thanks for the interest.
