This 1995 Porche 993 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Aventurine Green Metallic over a Cashmere Beige interior. It features a 6-speed manual transmission, optional 8-way power-adjustable seats in supple leather, a wood-trimmed gear knob, a new Porche Classic (PCCM) head unit, a custom sound system, an aftermarket exhaust, a short shift kit, and Porsche BBS 18” Sport Classic II wheels. The CARFAX report shows it was originally sold in California and remained there until 2013 before moving to Texas where it was registered until the seller’s purchase in 2022. Treated to a major service at a Porsche dealership in 2023, this Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey with approximately 94k miles showing on the odometer.

This 993 is finished in Aventurine Green Metallic with a power-operated black convertible soft top and a new matching convertible top cover. It rides on genuine Porsche BBS Sport Classic II wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires, and the original 17” Cup 2 wheels are included in the sale. The car features a headlamp washer system, integrated fog lights, a “basket handle” brake light spoiler, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and black Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller notes a paint correction was performed under their ownership and the exterior has been treated with a ceramic coating. Some minor stone chips are present on the hood. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Cashmere Beige interior features optional 8-way power-adjustable supple leather front seats, custom crest-embossed rear seat bases, a four-spoke black leather steering wheel, an aftermarket short-shift kit, and a wood-trimmed gear knob. Other accessories include power windows and mirrors, a central locking system, automatic climate control, cruise control, black Porsche-branded floor mats, a removable cabin wind deflector, an Escort radar detector with a custom-fabricated display, and a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) head unit paired with a high-end aftermarket amplifier, a subwoofer, and upgraded speakers. Minor signs of wear are noted on the seat bolsters.

Rated at 272 HP, the air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. An aftermarket exhaust system has been installed, and the seller indicates a major service was completed at an authorized Porsche dealership in August 2023 including A/C system repair, steering rack replacement, and an oil change.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, the original 17” wheels, a car cover, a battery trickle charger, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I have owned this car since August 2022 and it is 1 of several P Cars that doesn't get driven as it should. After purchasing I have had the car in a temperature-controlled garage and have performed 2 annual services which addressed any issues requiring attention. The car starts, drives, and performs as expected. Bittersweet letting this car go to a new owner.”

@XHILLR8 - No oil buring issues. The car sat for quite some time before the cold start.

I noticed smoke on the cold start. Common? Any oil burning issues? Thanks for the feedback. I'm highly interested in your car.

@skier1 - there is a surface level 1 inch 'pull' in the fabric - I wouldn't say it's a tear. There is no water leakage.

    Nice looking 993!
Is there a tear in the top showing in pics 26/27. If so does it leak through?

Thank you. Do you have the ability to lift car and get pics of underside while raised? Can you include pics of additional wheels, service doc's for what you had performed and any from prior owners, additional close ups of oil lines and fittings, main seal(which according to Carfax was replaced) if you can get it lifted and valve covers highlighting gaskets? Any evidence of corrosion in exhaust, brand of aftermarket exhaust, corrosion around front windshield cowl as Carfax states "Windshield resealed" which could mean someone used a caulk gun🤣, this may require gently lifting seal to find? Carfax lists/states many of the services that were performed but Carfax in my opinion is not accurate or trustworthy so those original receipts which should confirm OEM parts were used for things like control arms, multiple "steering gear" and other parts and provide much greater detail. These documents are much appreciated. Is the Escort radar detector custom display at top of switch panel of center console? Thank you. JS

The car is stored in my offsite garage, a couple hours away. I'll get a picture and upload before auction closes. It may take me a few days. Appreciate your patience.

Under front hood/bonnet/frunk should be a sticker with various option codes. It will also have engine and transmission information on it.

  • mgange (seller) 4 days, 22 hoursago

@jsragman - I don't have the original window sticker - not sure how to confirm G50/20 or G50/21.

  • jsragman (registered bidder) 4 days, 23 hoursago

I see that this is an early pre Varioram engine. Can you add a picture of the option sticker or any info confirming the transmission is a G50/20 and not a G50/21?
