We are pleased to present this 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera RS. The last of the road-going air-cooled cars to bear the illustrious “RS” or Rennsport designation, the 993 Carrera RS was offered as a stiffer, lightweight version of the Carrera 2 with a powerful 3.8L flat-six engine at its heart. Approximately 1,000 examples were built, none of which were offered for the U.S. market. Finished in Speed Yellow, this 1995 example was originally delivered in Germany before it was eventually imported to the U.S. in 2017 by a private collector. It retains all of its original European specifications and showcases factory Touring front and rear spoilers, the Aluminum Package, and Exclusive yellow-painted hardback Sport Seats with deviated gray centers. Currently showing 55,300 km (34,286 mi) on the odometer, this rare and highly coveted 993 Carrera RS is being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This RS was ordered in the signature color of Speed Yellow along with Touring front and rear spoilers and stainless-steel exhaust tips. The body of the RS differs from a standard Carrera with its seam-welded panels, aluminum front bonnet, and thinner glass windows. The headlight washers were also omitted for weight savings. The original paint has been preserved and the car is described to be in excellent show-ready condition, with the only noted imperfection being a small blemish on the plastic rear bumper, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings. This RS retains original 18” Speedline three-piece lightweight wheels dressed in a set of Pirelli P Zero tires dated from 2018.
As with past RS models, the cabin of the 993 RS was designed with a focus on weight savings. The rear seats were removed along with soundproofing material, and spartan door panels were utilized featuring traditional pull straps. This example was optioned with power windows, air conditioning, RS-logo door entry guards, an aluminum shift knob and handbrake lever, chromed instrument bezels, yellow instrument needles, and Exclusive two-tone black leather Sport Seats with gray inserts and Speed Yellow painted seatbacks. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional including the factory air conditioning system.
The Carrera RS received a special air-cooled Type M64/20 3.8L flat-six engine featuring lightweight forged pistons, dual oil coolers, a Varioram intake manifold, lightened rocker arms, enlarged intake valves, and revised Motronic engine programming. As much as 300 HP and 262 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a G50/31 6-speed manual gearbox with modified gear ratios, a limited-slip differential, and a short-throw shifter. The suspension was lowered and incorporates Bilstein dampers, adjustable anti-roll bars, and a front strut brace for additional support. The brakes were also upgraded with 322mm cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at all four corners, clamped by large 4-piston Brembo calipers derived from the Turbo model. An upgraded TechArt exhaust system was installed by a previous owner in Germany, and the seller states that proper routine maintenance has been carried out from new. A recent service has been completed and extensive records are available for reference in the photo gallery.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, a collection of records and documentation, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title. One of the rarest 993s and among the most sought after and collectible air-cooled cars ever built, this beautifully appointed Carrera RS is a must-have for any avid Porsche collector.

On a % basis it looks like high bid and Buy it now is off by 5% so close maybe seller and high bidder can fig it out. Such a fine RS to me maybe the best of all.

I am a huge fan of this Touring tail and package. Very clean and just look so right on the 993 body. I have a friend with a Clubsport version and that tail is very aggressive for street use as its more a track car. Boy this yellow really pops. GLWS she is a beauty.
