Up for auction is this 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet 6-speed presented in Midnight Blue Metallic over a blue and grey leather interior.  Denoting the final iteration of the air-cooled Porsche 911, the 993 series is desirable for its historical significance and visceral, yet refined driving characteristics.  Purchased by the seller in 2014 with 26k miles showing on the odometer, this 3-owner 1995 example has been kept in excellent condition throughout the years with just under 32k miles now showing on the odometer.  Highlighting a tasteful factory configuration and some subtle modifications, this Carrera Cabriolet is just waiting to be enjoyed.

The Midnight Blue Metallic finish is stated to be in excellent condition with paint protection film applied over the front bumper and mirror covers.  The seller also indicates that the front bumper was recently refinished to correct some license plate mounting holes, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  A custom hood emblem has been installed along with clear side marker lenses, although the original components will be included as well.  This 993 rides on genuine Porsche 18” Turbo Twist hollow-spoke wheels which are finished in black and dressed in newer Michelin Pilot Sport tires.   The original set of 17” Cup wheels will also be included with sale.

This Carrera is appointed with a rarely seen blue and grey leather interior which is said to be in fantastic condition.  Modifications include an upgraded OEM Porsche shift knob, Weathertech floormats and a period correct radio which has been retrofitted to offer Bluetooth compatibility.  The original shift knob and OE floormats will be included, and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.

An air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six engine sends 270 HP to the rear wheels through a number’s matching 6-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 5.4 seconds.  Upon the current owner’s purchase in 2014, the brake master cylinder was replaced along with all fluids and filers.  Accompanied by a collection of service records, this 993 is said to be up to date on all scheduled maintenance and in superb driving condition.

The sale of this 993 will include one master key, owner’s books, a car cover and service records.  This 993 makes the perfect air-cooled Cabriolet for any vintage Porsche enthusiast.

Sorry for last minute post but potential buyer asked about paint depths. I took at each panel 8 in total and range is between 4.8 and 5.4. I asked PCAR to post but realize it’s super short notice so if you ping me directly I can email photos of meter readings

    @kaaayelll From Porsche
It’s called seam sealer. Porsche uses it extensively during manufacture. It can be found in many places on the car. It is used on every car they build.

  • cled (seller) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@kaaayelll Those are not cracks, its a sealant of sorts and there is glare in the picture but that’s how these cars came off the production line. No work has ever been done to the struts, ever. Again happy to take additional pics so you can show your Porsche contact.

  • 993David (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@cled with track pipes it sounds like an ls3 with straight pipes. it used to set off car alarms

  • kaaayelll (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@cled Thanks for the info. I can’t quite tell, the cracked pieces are plastic surrounds/covers on the strut braces?

  • cled (seller) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@993David B&B track pipes would sound insane!!! Some of my fondest memories of this car were going through slot canyons with the top down in between Sedona and Scottsdale. Any way you cut it the 993 exhaust is unmistakable and I will miss it greatly

  • cled (seller) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@peterwill1 Front bumper is OEM. I had the two license plate holes professionally filled 5 years ago from Rolling Art Motorsports in Scottsdale AZ for a cleaner look and clear bra for protection. Please don’t put a license plate on this car, they are so UGLY, haha

  • 993David (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

I have a set of B&B track pipes I pulled off of my 95 C2 20 years ago that would fit nicely. It would also benefit from the motor sound airbox.

  • peterwill1 (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

Is the front bumper "AZ" correct or "CA" correct? If CA, do you have the AZ bumper.

  • cled (seller) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@993David No on rear main seal under my ownership, in regards to engine work I have had fan and alternator belts replaced as well as annual synthetic oil changes of course. Usually with less than 1,000 miles in between changes

  • cled (seller) 3 years, 9 monthsago

    @993David Agreed but I’m partial :))

  • cled (seller) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@abacpm It was until I recently moved to Northern California however Ken at Zuffenhausen Motors in Scottsdale has done all my maintenance for the last 6 years. Feel free to call him mention this car he keeps impeccable records. Even if you don’t win this car keep him in mind for future Porsche maintenance. He is the best!!!

  • 993David (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@cled has the rear main seal been done?

  • 993David (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

    Beautiful color!

  • abacpm (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

Is this car located in Phoenix if so I would like to look at it

  • cled (seller) 3 years, 9 monthsago

@abacpm OEM from the factory. I included 1 pic from under the hood which has the paint code L39C. I’m told it is a very rare color and hopefully my pics do it justice.

  • abacpm (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

Is the paint color on the car a Porsche color or was it a paint to match, or is it your custom color after brought new

@kaaayelll Thanks for the inquiry. I just took two 30 sec videos this morning, one cold start and one with top operation. Everything on this car works exactly as it should and has never been in any type of accident to my knowledge. I see what your talking about on strut and its on both passenger and driver. If you need additional photos please let me know.
A few additional notes there are two keys included in sale not 1. I also asked PCAR to upload pics of OEM wheels wrapped on Michelin Pilot Sport tires with less 90% tread left but they are 6 years old. OEM 18” turbo twist hollow spoke wheels have been on car most of its life during my ownership

  • kaaayelll (registered bidder) 3 years, 9 monthsago

Can you please speak to what's going on with the passenger side strut mount housing? Also, are there any issues with the top - operation or otherwise? Lastly, can you possibly share cold-start and operating videos? Thanks so much.
