We are pleased to offer this 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera RS finished in Polar Silver.  The final air-cooled car in Porsche’s lineage of road-going RS models, the 993 Carrera RS was developed as a homologation special to qualify the 993 RSR 3.8 for racing.  One of approximately 1,000 examples built in total, this 1995 RS came factory optioned with Clubsport spoilers, air conditioning, power windows, a radio, Sport Seats, and 18” Speedline wheels with Exclusive color-matched centers.  It was imported to the United States from Europe in 2007 and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey while showing approximately 31k kilometers (19k miles) on the odometer.

This RS was ordered in Polar Silver and features aggressive Clubsport front and rear spoilers.  The RS differs from a standard Carrera with its seam-welded panels, thinner glass windows, and aluminum front bonnet. The headlight washers and rear window defroster were also omitted for weight savings.  Detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  The 993 RS rides on 18” Speedline three-piece Cup wheels with Exclusive Polar Silver painted faces (XD9) and center caps (X89).  These wheels measure 8” wide in front, 10” wide in the rear, and come dressed in a set of Pirelli P Zero tires.

Inside, the Carrera RS offers a spartan interior with lightweight carpeting and basic door panels with traditional RS pull straps.  The rear seats were deleted to save weight along with the sunroof and much of the soundproofing material.  This example features two-tone leather Sport Seats and received a few optional driver amenities from the factory including power windows, air conditioning, front airbags, a high-amperage battery, top-tinted windscreen, and a radio. The original Blaupunkt Dusseldorf radio has been replaced in favor of an updated Porsche/Becker CDR-21 radio.  CARFAX shows a potential mileage inconsistency, although the seller states this likely resulted from a clerical error when converting kilometers and miles.

The Carrera RS is equipped with an air-cooled Type M64/20 3.8L flat-six engine featuring lightweight forged pistons, lightened rocker arms, enlarged intake valves, dual oil coolers, a Varioram intake manifold, and revised Motronic engine programming.  As much as 300 HP and 262 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a G50/31 6-speed manual gearbox with modified gear ratios, a limited-slip differential, and a short-throw shifter.  The lowered suspension features Bilstein dampers, adjustable anti-roll bars, and a front strut brace for additional support.  The brakes include 322mm cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at all four corners, paired with large 4-piston Brembo calipers derived from the Turbo model. Since the selling dealer acquired the car in 2019, it is said to have been properly maintained and serviced by a team of master Porsche technicians who specialize in restoration.

This sale will include a clean title. The purest expression of Porsche's final air-cooled sports car, the 993 Carrera RS is regarded by many as one of the greatest 911s ever built.  With its unique factory specifications, this Polar Silver RS would make a fine addition to any world-class Porsche collection.

Woof, woof...the Big Dog of 993s!

For NA, the rarest of rare, which appears to be an impeccable copy, is staring back at us from our screens.

If only...if only, I was in the position to make this unicorn mine...

Congratulations to the owner of this piece of Porsche history, and the legacy of all that lead up to this amazing build. ?
