This 1996 Land Rover Defender 90 is said to have been imported out of Hungary in 2018 and received a frame-off restoration before arriving in the United States in March of 2022. It was completely disassembled before being repainted in grey, and the petrol inline-four engine and 5-speed manual transmission are said to have been rebuilt. It has been modified with an intake snorkel, gloss black trim, upgraded LED lighting, and 16” wheels with all-terrain tires. Showing approximately 250k kilometers (155k miles) on the odometer, this 1996 Defender is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Florida.
The exterior of this Defender was completey stripped and refinished in grey with a gloss black roof and Alpine windows. Equipment includes upgraded LED headlights, LED running lights, and LED turn signals, a gloss black grille surround, black chequer plate on the roof, hood, fenders, and rocker panels, front and rear steel bumpers, rear rubber mudflaps, a swing-out rear tire carrier, gloss black fender flares, a snorkel, and a ball hitch. The black steel wheels are mounted with GT Radial Aventuro M/T tires.
The interior features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panels, carpeting, and inward-facing jump seats in the cargo area. Accessories include a center console with cupholders, all-season rubber floormats, sliding rear windows, a heater/defroster, and roll-up windows.
This Defender is equipped with a rebuilt 2.0L inline-four 16-valve engine with multi-port fuel injection, generating up to 136 HP and 140 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through an R380 5-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
This sale will include import documents and a clean title showing an erroneous 1995 model year.

What a wonderful vintage Land Rover. It looks like the work done was first class and quite a showpiece. It is beginning a whole new life and as I just retired and if I were the winning bidder, we would take a few months and cross cross the country with this beautiful car.
