We are pleased to offer this one-owner 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S finished in Black over a Classic Grey interior.  Offering all-wheel-drive, naturally aspirated performance coupled with the wide body styling, brakes, and suspension of the Turbo model, the Carrera 4S is one of the most sought-after versions of the 993 generation.  This 1996 example left the factory with several options from Porsche’s Exclusive Department as well as some premium features including heated and power-operated seats, Litronic headlights, and an onboard computer.  Having been under the care of its original owner up until very recently, this 993 Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing just over 69k miles on the odometer.

This 993 is finished in Black (L741) and shares its wide fenders and bumper design with the Turbo model.  Optional Litronic Xenon headlights were also equipped from the factory.  CARFAX shows minor damage to have occurred to the front end in 2020, and the seller reports that it was a small incident that took place in the original owner’s garage.  The passenger-side front fender is said to have been refinished as a result, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  This C4S rides on 18” Turbo wheels that feature colored Porsche center crests and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires.

Inside, you will find a nicely presented Classic Grey interior with optional heated 8-way power seats.  Factory Exclusive options include a shifter/handbrake lever in aluminum and stainless-steel door entry guards with model logos.  Additional equipment includes a sound system, electric sunroof, cruise control, and an onboard computer located within the central tachometer.  The original Becker CR-210 radio remains in place and all gauges and accessories are reported to be fully functional.

This 993 is equipped with an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine that sends up to 282 HP to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.  The C4S also shares its “Big Red” Brembo brakes and suspension setup with the Turbo model.  All available maintenance history is provided on CARFAX. A major service is shown to have been carried out in 2015 by Midwest Performance Cars of Illinois at 66,786 miles which included a new clutch slave cylinder, rear camshaft seal, rear brake pads and rotors, spark plugs, ignition wires, engine mounts, and a power steering fluid flush.  The last documented oil and filter change was carried out in 2020 at 68,520 miles.

This sale will include a set of original keys and remote fobs, owner’s manuals, and a clean title. Do not miss your chance to become the second owner of this well-preserved 993 C4S.

@billgrt "Picking on his car?" Seriously Bill? You've obviously never been on the wrong side of an expensive car deal and that's fantastic. But if you had, you'd be more understanding of the queries. Dont worry about this seller...... this car will sell here today. But not to me... nor I suspect, to you.

  • supermoo (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Roku12 are you bidding on the car?

@allthingsporsches That does not make sense to me. Paint Meters measure in Mills and Microns. One Mill = 24.5 Microns. So I look at your meter readings as 24 and 28 mills - indicates body filler vs just cosmetic paint that would read 9, 10, or 14 maybe. 28 is high and if your meter flips to Microns that means your paint is 1 Mill in those areas. Cant be.

@billgrt thank you sir , really appreciate that

  • billgrt (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Balance pretty consistent looking Carfax to me. If you know anything about 993's you will never be 100% assured of the mileage not being a tad off as they all have the odometer gear fail. I would stop picking on this guy's car, it looks to be honest and well-preserved and he is trying to answer everyone's questions. If he doesn't know something it doesn't make it a bad car. You should have had an inspection done to avoid what is happening now. Lets give this guy a break.

@Balance it was never bought at auction , it was just bought from a dealer thru ove so can be floorplanned , not sure what you need from the 1st owner and how can he tell you anything that proves the miles are real , those gaps in the Carfax are cuase the car wasn’t driven and like 20 inputs with miles ,

  • Balance (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@allthingsporsches I appreciate the carfax but no mileage indicated for big gaps there. Love and would step up for a one owner car but tough when bought at auction with no conversation with that one owner possible. Beautiful looking car. GLWTA.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Balance sir what would validate the miles in this case is the Carfax , the car was serviced as often as any car would and the miles are stated in those services

Bid in the amount of $87,993

  • Balance (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Can the one owner validate that the odometer regrading of 69k miles from new is accurate? (The teeth on the odometer gears and other issues on this generation Porsche often failed at 50-70k). Since it’s a one owner car, I’d love the piece of mind that that didnt happen in this case. Thanks so much

@Roku12 the 28 and 24 are not in mils, our meter goes back n forth for some reason , need a new meter ,

Bid in the amount of $79,250

  • Roku12 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@supermoo All I know is what I read under google reviews which anyone can look up...This car looks to be very nice and you can see the meter reading videos for full disclosure. Readings of 28 and 24 seem higher than what I’d expect for “cosmetic damage” Reads like filler so I’d want to know the why behind that.

    GLWS and GL with bidding

@Roku12 if you know something, now would be the time to spill the beans.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Roku12 LOL , guys just an FYI. We have been selling and collecting just porsches for past 15 years , so maybe our opinion matters maybe it doesn’t , but you don’t find many 1 owner 25 year old cars that have been serviced every 6 months , just throwing it out there , good luck to all the bidders , this is a GREAT CAR. All around mechanically and physically , winning bidder will not be disappointed , undercarriage photos will be up in the next few hours

  • Hhey (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

  • zzwillin 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Hhey quit wasting everyone’s time trying to save yourself a few thousand bucks. Buy a car or don’t. You looked at mine and tried to haggle. Quit trolling. I get where you’re coming from, but every seller is different and doesn’t always provide what you want. It doesn’t mean the car is anything but as represented.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Hhey thanks for your transparency if any bidders will need a PPI they will ask for one thanks !

  • Hhey (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@allthingsporsches So sorry that you perceive my observations as negativity. Your 993 looks gorgeous. Like many buyers and watchers here, I follow porsche auctions on many websites and watch what drives interest and confidence in these auctions. Many (most) sellers offering 993s as clean and desirable as this one appears, pay the rather small cost of a PPI (~$500) to instill confidence and provide transparency. That you didn’t is absolutely your option, but a savings of $500 in not doing a PPI could cost you $20k in bids. It has happened in the past. Best of luck to all bidders and seller.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Hhey as I mentioned before , PPI can be performed at the buyers expense at any time , and there’s over 50 photos , and a paint meter video and a walk around , we would appreciate if you kept the negativity to yourself

  • Hhey (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Sorry PPL=PPI

  • Hhey (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Interesting. This car should fetch closer to 100k, but with no PPL and limited photos, buyers are understandably wary. I can't imagine that the reserve is <70k.

  • Prashant (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Did the passenger side fender show 24.xx and 28.xx on the paint meter? Also, diver side rear panel was showing ~14 - 15. Were both sides impacted during the minor garage incident?

@agentutah if you want to perform a ppi and your the winning bidder I have no issue taking it for a ppi under your expense , but you have most of the things ppi will show as in paint meter readings , you have the Carfax to show you ALOT of service has been performed on this car it is a 1 owner , it’s a great car , hopefully this helps

  • agentutah (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Will a PPI be done so we can assess mechanical condition?

  • dlb (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Was the right front fender reading 24? Hard to tell as they were shown to the camera so quickly.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@abacpm will post everything today ! The car is in excellent condition and so is the paint ! All around great car, that 1st owner took amazing care for it , if you look at the Carfax , this car seems like got driven
Less than it was at a porsche dealer getting serviced !

  • abacpm (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Don’t want to seem like I am picky ..... it is a high mileage car ...just trying to access quality ....

  • abacpm (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago
