We are pleased to present this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe finished in Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige partial leather interior. Highlighting a 6-Speed manual transmission, Bilstein suspension, and an engine reseal, this 993 is just waiting to be driven and enjoyed by its next owner. Accompanied by original books and extensive service records, it is now being offered in excellent running condition with 84k miles on the odometer by its seller out of Ohio.
The classic Guards Red finish on this 993 is shown to be in great condition with some minor signs of wear according to the seller. The seller notes that the bumpers have been professionally refinished by a Porsche specialist. The car rides on a set of refinished 17" factory Cup Design wheels which come wrapped in brand-new Hankook Ventus V12 tires in the front and an identical set of tires in the rear dated from 2016 with plenty of tread life remaining.
Inside, you will find a beautiful Cashmere Beige leather interior that comes loaded with factory options. This cabin features the desirable cellular phone center console which is rarely seen in 993 models. Additional factory options include supple leather seats, HiFi sound system, power seat package, comfort package, remote CD changer, and lumbar support. The seller notes that the dashboard seems to have been refinished in the past and shows very well. The interior remains in nice condition with all electronics in working order.
Powering this Carrera is an air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six engine rated at 282 HP and 243 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a crisp 6-speed manual transmission making for a claimed 0-60 time of approximately 5.4 seconds. Records will show that this 993 had a major service in 2013 which included an engine reseal. Additionally, the seller notes that a full service of over $3k was carried out just this week in preparation for the auction. This 993 is said to be in excellent running condition and comes with extensive records indicating it has been well taken care of throughout its life.

Thank you all for the bids and comments so far. This is a mechanically fresh and fantastic driver example. We took a driving video and we'll TRY to have it edited and uploaded before the auction ends - the long and short - it drives fantastic, and the Motor Sound Package enhances the engine note nicely. Cosmetically the car isn't perfect- the interior is very clean with just a couple of picks: the center console coin tray could stand to be replaced, and the dash has a little bit of lifting visible in the photos. The exterior clearcoat is "popping" - it has micro pitting on the top sides of some of the panels. It is not visible from a Covid-safe distance, but we took some close-up photos that are in the gallery for people to check out. The previous owner only had the front and rear bumpers refinished, so it's possible that the original owner had paintwork done or that it was done prior to original delivery, as that happens more often than people realize. All that said, mechanically this car is amazing, it is crisp, tight, fresh, and if you want a car to put some miles on and not worry about a couple of rock chips, this is it!

@MiataIsAlwysTheAnswr Because it's really rare and not silver, black or some version of gray! This care is the first I've ever seen with that cell-phone center console option - looks kind of odd to me after seeing so many with the "standard" 911 shifter look.
