Now up for auction is this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4 Cabriolet finished in Black over a special Flamenco Red interior with factory hardback Sport Seats. Reported to have been purchased new by the seller in 1996, this Canadian-market example has been garage-kept and diligently maintained throughout its entire life. With just over 60k kilometers (37k-miles) currently showing on the odometer, this beautifully appointed 993 is now being offered for auction by its original owner out of British Columbia.
This 993 is finished in Black, and the car is noted to have been garage kept and regularly detailed from new. Some minor signs of road-going wear are present, and the seller reports a small puncture in the Cabriolet top that has been patched. The seller also notes that both doors were refinished early on in the car’s life following some cosmetic vandalization, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This 993 rides on factory 18" Turbo-look wheels featuring "Carrera 4" logo center caps, which are said to have been dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport tires within the last year.
The special order Flamenco Red interior features highly sought-after factory hardback Sport Seats. Some minor signs of wear are present, and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to remain fully functional including the original CR-210 radio.
Marking the final generation of the air-cooled 911, this 993 is equipped with a 3.6 L flat-six engine that sends 272 HP to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Routine maintenance is said to have been carried out through an authorized Porsche dealership during the early years of the seller's ownership, with the more recent service performed by a local Porsche specialist. CARFAX shows a transmission fluid change to have been carried out in 2018 at 58,797 km, and the last full service is said to have taken place in the fall of 2019.
This sale will include the original air compressor, spare tire, CD changer, and a clean title. With its rare and desirable factory specifications, this one-owner 993 is not to be overlooked.

@abacpm Yep, that goes to the currency point. But you are smart enough to understand that was not my point.
Seller .... is there a PPI on this car ..... if not ... why not ...
Seller .... can you tell me the total import cost to US
Bid in the amount of $27,000
@SofiaLeo see carfax .... no accidents
I have tried to contact seller as well as ask questions here. I hope all is well. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to bid unless there is some type of engagement. GLWA. Looks like a nice car.
OMG, I have essentially the exact same car, except mine has Rubicon Gray interior and 122,000 miles, (I am the second owner and have had it for 23 years).
How many owners? Any check engine light issues, (chronic for these 993's)?
Thanks,
Bob
@seller
hello? are you there? if you expect PCARMARKET, cars&bids, BaT to answer questions for you after your $50-100 seller's fee, you are in for a pleasant (or not so pleasant surprise).
Maybe this is a forced sell from a family member?
beautiful car for sure, but you're losing thousands of dollars (USD!) because of your poor engagement.

Any chance you could post a video on the top going up and down???
Randy, are you the original owner? Carfax shows new owner at top of pic 45.
Thx.
Bid in the amount of $20,000
@Randy. Can we see photos of the underside? And a closeup of the hole in the top? Can you help me understand why you would not replace the top on such a fine looking vehicle? Do you have any information on compression or leak down? I love the interior! TIA
@jbauto
This has nothing to do with anger.
If you, being in such a privileged position compared to a Canadian for all the reasons I cited, are complaining about importing a car from Canada (which happens all the time), this car is not for you.
This car is at least 24 years old, perhaps even 25. It is easier to import a classic car like this into the US compared to the importation of a new car, so you really should not complain about having to buy from Canada.
As a Canuck living on the other side of the country, I would love to purchase this 993 and bring it to my home in s/w Ontario. Unfortunately, because of the difference in the Can/US $$, I will no doubt be outbid by one of our American neighbours. Great looking vehicle Randy!!
FWIW, we were in Van in '08, and I never met an Angry Canuck until now. wow.
No, No Dreamer, It's the rigamarole to import the car to the US. Man, you are one angry person. Good luck to you.
Can you add a video of a cold start as well as the top going and and down.
Thanks
Note: All the Rambo movies were filmed in BC. Love Montreal !!!
@jbauto
Hate the Canada thing? What do you mean? Canadians should not be able to sell a car on a website like this?
Count your blessings that you (probably) live in the US where there are 4-6X the inventory for one these, and your currency is almost always 20% to 40% stronger than the Cdn dollar. Your import duty is 2-3% whereas the Cdn import duty is >6%. You have no federal sales tax whereas Canada has sales tax of 12%+ in every province except Alberta.
Yet Canadians go to the US to buy cars all the time and help YOUR economy.
If you "hate the Canada thing", you are more than welcome to buy a 993 from the US and leave these to Canadians. You don't have a gun to your head to participate in this.
Love the colors, Drop-top, 4wd and 6 spd. Hate the Canada thing. I will be watching. GL
