We are pleased to present this eye-catching 1996 993 Carrera 4S finished in Polar Silver over a black leather interior.  Purchased by its current owner back in 2008 with just over 12k miles, this 4S had previously been owned by an enthusiast in Arizona who enhanced the car with some tasteful upgrades.  This one-of-a kind example is now being offered for auction by its third owner out of Lake County, Illinois with 29k miles showing on the odometer.

Showcasing a beautiful Polar Silver finish along with the factory widened bodywork of the 993 Turbo, this 4S is a showstopper.  Stated to be in excellent condition, the car underwent a high quality respray when the aero kit was installed by the previous owner.  In addition, virtually every bulky U.S. mandated component in favor of less obtrusive Euro-spec parts, lending to a cleaner overall look.  This also includes a lowered ride height courtesy of a 993 RS suspension that was sourced from a dealer in Belgium.  Exterior features include OEM Euro-spec front and rear bumpers, Techart front air ducts, running lights, OEM front and rear spoilers, Porsche HID Litronic headlights, a silver-plated hood crest, and 19” RUF wheels which come wrapped in Bridgestone tires.  Detailed images highlighting the condition are provided in the photo gallery.  The seller does report that the original windshield has one minor chip that was professionally sealed to prevent it from spreading.

This 993 is appointed with a black leather interior that features some exciting custom modifications.  Silver-stitched GT3 seats have been installed along with red RS seats belts, aluminum floor pedals and a custom tach-integrated Valentine One radar detector.  Factory equipment includes: a sun roof, Porsche keyless entry, CD-Changer, aluminum shift/brake handle and a three spoke leather/aluminum steering wheel with custom silver crest.  The interior is stated to be in excellent condition with all gauges, electrical components and accessories fully functional.

Equipped with its original 3.6L flat-six engine, this 911 puts out over 282 HP to all-four wheels by way of a traditional 6-speed manual transmission.  Factory features include Brembo/Porsche big red brakes, large oval exhaust tips as well as a motor Sound Package which enhances the engine note.  The suspension has been completely overhauled with Bilstein PSS-9 adjustable coilovers and Porsche RS adjustable sway bars, camber bar, and drop links.  Accordingly, the suspension geometry has also been dialed-in to RS specifications.  Records indicate that this C4S has been diligently maintained throughout its life and is currently up-to-date on all due service.  This 993 is being offered for auction in great driving condition.

The sale of this unique 993 will include original books and documentation, two sets of keys, and a Euro-required medical kit.  This vehicle is offered with a clean bill of health as well as a clear Illinois title.  With incredible custom modifications, sensational wide hips and snappy naturally-aspirated power, this 993 C4S is not to be overlooked.  If you have been in the market for a truly exciting air-cooled 911, this just might be the one.

    In the description, reference is made to a silver-plated hood crest, yet in the photo gallery, a colored crest is evident in the r/s quarter shot. Did the seller mean, the silver crest on the three-spoke steering wheel? Also, what is the black rectangular box, built into the tachometer? Is that the up-shift light ‘gizmo’.

    @JHarris I’m in agreement on the updating. I Just switched out the PCM from my 997 turbo. It needed to get into the first quarter of this century. Now I have real Bluetooth, car play, XM radio, and a back up camera. Of course I saved the factory radio and cut no wires.

    @mercyhealth
    I get the late bidders. As far as mods, I’m not sure where I stand on that or even where I fit as a car enthusiast. I “get” the original equipment theory, but at some point a car needs to take on the owners personal tastes. I think the hard back seats look great and it appears everything is bolt on. Don’t like it.... take it off! I’m starting to personalize my 944 turbo S and I’m enjoying every minute of it. As long as the car isn’t cut or a roll cage in it ... I’m ok with anything that is bolt on. Example- everyone can masterbate over an original Porsche radio, but let’s face it- by today’s standards the damn thing sucks. Take it out, put it in a box on a shelf, and buy an up to date stereo. Don’t cut the wires, use a wire harness kit that is easily purchased and a stereo can come out and be put back to original in an hour.

    @JHarris I agree but most bidders come in with a few hours or minutes to end. This 993 vehicle, the last of the air cooled 911 engines, in several similar models are quickly appreciating. Lots of modifications on this one so it may hurt the sale. However if you are in the market for the 993 this may be your car.
